Corvina
The smaller, red creature spun around, the stick he held now burning with flames.
Corvina scowled, the shadows around her shuddering.
They shouldn’t have been affected…shouldn’t have moved…
But…they did.
The shadows dispersed from around Corvina, dissipating in a sizzle, and Corvina shuddered, feeling suddenly exposed, her eyes widening.
She grit her teeth, fists clenched as the blue skinned girl reeled on the red creature, eyes blazing, but then focused on her.
The others turned their attention to her as well, each with their own reactions.
Corvina’s heart shuddered, but she stood her ground. If all else failed, she’d just shift and fly away…
No big deal….
But…
Why had her shadows failed her? Why…why had they left so easily?
“Because…the boy has weakened you.” The voice whispered in her head.
She swallowed, eyes narrowing, realizing…
It had been the fire…
The memory…
She stared at the flames still held before her, in the hands of the smaller creature. His one eye glared at her, and then he smirked. She glowered, adjusting her stance, preparing to fight, If need be.

Layson and Maylee
Layson looks back again, noticing a cool breeze. He furrows his eyebrows, looking towards the window.
It’s not coming from there.
Maylee seems to notice, shifting slightly in his arms.
“Sorry, Princess.”
Layson looks over as Dante who takes Serins stick. He stiffens slightly at the sight. Dante pours a liquid onto the stick and lights it with his lighter. The air fills with a warm glow, but the cool breeze remains. Maylee shivers slightly, and Layson gives her a gentle squeeze. Dante marches forwards ahead of the group, Layson and Serin close behind.A dark figure apears out of the shadows.
“Hello?”
Layson shouts into the darkness, but quickly comes back to the rest of the group.

@princesachronicle22 I just realized how much Serin reminds me of my own character Allen. He comes from a species I didn’t create cause he’s from a fanfic, but his character is all my own. His skin and hair are more or less the same color as hers, but one of his eyes is orange and the other is red (something of a genetic defect), and his ears aren’t pointy I don’t think. I’m not sure what he’d think about water; when I looked it up I couldn’t find any details about his home planet.
He’d probably be a little freaked out by her, but since there are several species in his universe that look similar but not quite the same as his kind, he’d get over it fairly quickly.
Come to think of it, I kinda want to add him now……
