Leo wiped a bit of blood away from his nose.
But…his brothers were safe.
Not because of anything he did, though.

Dante
Dante slowed his run to a walk. Peering though doors and around corners, he tried to figure out where he was. He found a window and looked out at the sky to at least see which planet he was on. A single yellow sun was about to set.
Yup. No idea. I should’ve paid more attention when learning this kinda stuff in school.
His thoughts were interrupted by shouting in a nearby corridor. He turned away from the window and listened. Someone was talking in a low voice and then there was a sudden cry of pain. The voice continued.
Dante knew it was probably in his best interest to ignore whatever was happening, but… his curiosity got the better of him. He walked toward the noise.
When he stepped into view, he saw six people, all of whom were the same species as the men who were with the twins. Dante quickly realized that there had been a fight. One of the men was sitting against the wall, with a woman crouched over him.
This guy looks strong, and this lady is frail. He can totally take her. So why isn’t he? What’s wrong with him?
Dante cocked his head and looked the woman in the eye and he felt a spark of anger in his chest.
“Is there… a problem here?”
“Everyone wants to save the world, but no one wants to help mom with the dishes.”

“Is there… a problem here?”
She turned to see a red…one eyed…freak behind her.
She smiled. “Not at all. I am Frida, those are my sons, and we were attacked by these three men.”
“You attacked me first!” Kursk yelled, in Russian though, so it was unlikely the…freak understood him, unless he spoke Russian.
Frida scoffed. “Fine. So, what if we did? Not like it’s this freak’s business anyhow.” She retorted.
Turned back to the brown-haired stupid boy, who was still begging to be spared another hit.
She smiled.
Oh, she loved this.
The power felt…wonderful.
Suddenly, a thud sounded, Adolphus and Dietrich slammed against the wall, and by the time Frida turned around, the ridiculously dressed boy was right behind her.
“Leave. Him. Alone.”

Nothing really.
Wolfgang frowned, gently squeezing the boy’s hand. He blinked, realizing he wasn’t by himself, and looked up into Wolfgang’s eyes.
He winced as his shirt caught his right shoulder-blade, agitating the fiery scratches from Frida’s nails.
He could still feel the stinging on his face from where she’d hit him…
Her delicate fingers lifting his chin…
Just like his own mother would before…
Before everything would disappear…
To say his memories were a bit…foggy…
And dark…
Was an understatement…
Oftentimes, it was like trying to wade into murky waters with a blindfold on…
There were quite of a few memories that…well…didn’t make much sense…
They were nothing more then colors…feelings…splatters of paint and echoes of music on a canvas….
And now that he knew of his mother’s…ability…he understood why some of the things in his mind were so…clouded.
Why he often would only remember bits and pieces of things….
Find himself one place…
Only to wake up in his bed…
Or in his mother’s arms….
Only to feel her cold fingers lifting his face, and his body falling into a sleep that…wasn’t natural…
“Paxton? Paxton?” He felt hands on his shoulders, gently shaking him.
He gasped, eyes wide. Wolfgang was staring at him, face full of concern.
They were all staring at him now.
“Paxton, are you okay?” Wolfgang, breathed. “You…you just…stopped. Stopped moving…stopped…breathing.”
Paxton blinked, sucking in a breath, realizing how hungry his chest was for air.
Ah…
He shakily nodded.
“S-S-Sorry…”
Wolfgang’s eyes softened, “No…no, it-it’s okay. Really.” Slowly, he wrapped his arms around Paxton, helping the boy continue ahead.

Freak? Oh, this lady is asking for it.
There was a thud as one of the men threw the woman’s sons against the wall. Dante had forgotten her name already. He didn’t care. The woman spun around and looked up at the man.
“Leave. Him. Alone.”
Dante snatched another torch off the wall and strode forward. He was glad these weapons were so readily available. He grinned as adrenaline started rushing though him.
“You should probably go what the guy says, lady.”
“Everyone wants to save the world, but no one wants to help mom with the dishes.”
