Brother..?
November blinked at Viktor’s outstretched hand, slowly taking it in his.
He’d never been called brother before…
Yet…the word…seemed familiar…
Right….
Viktor turned to the others, speaking now to them. Speaking of food. November’s stomach growled slightly in response.
But then, the conversation was…interrupted…
By a…very peculiar old man.
The man approached Viktor first, drawn to him almost, like a moth to a light. Of course, Viktor seemed unsure of what to do about this, but took it well.
Better then I would’ve…
The man had leaned close, telling Viktor different things that…frankly, November didn’t really understand.
And then, he turned on the others, asking about all of them.
Before getting distracted once more.
Calling Steve a…prince? And Michael a…Voyager. Whatever that wasn’t.
November’s eyes were wide as saucers at this point, just watching the chaos.
He wasn’t sure who this man was, or…what was going on, but…honestly, this scenario reminded him a lot of when he’d first met Jocelyn.
She’d been so…outgoing. Immediately just jumping in and introducing herself.
Just like this man.
Though…he had yet to introduce himself…
November glanced at Viktor who was sunk against the wall now, his eyes wide. His brain was obviously scrambling over what this man had said.
Heh….The guy kinda reminded November of Lander too…
Makes sense where Lyn got it from…
“Lad!” November jerked, realizing the elderly man was standing right in front of him, his nose almost in his face.
November yelped, jumping back against Riker.
“Your names!”
November blinked, chancing a look at Riker.
“Ah…I-I’m November…” Was he supposed to give his full name? He winced. “N-November Elrond…”

Vulk grinned as he made his way up to where Lyn sat, settling beside her.
“How goes it?” She asked.
“Ah, you vere right…” Vulkasin stated out through the branches, taking in a deep breath. “View must be seen for v’oneself.”
Lyn smiled, but her brows furrowed slightly. She sucked in a breath, returning her gaze to the sky.
“Yup…” She placed her hands Next to her on the branch, anxiously tapping her fingers.

Hmm. Something was wrong. Lynn’s regular smile had deflated, reminding him of how Mama had so often looked during the long winters when Papa was away.
Ah, back home, high in mountains and foothills. Vulkasin sighed, and leaned back against the tree trunk. Those were good days, spent almost entirely in the snow. Covering his big brother in snow. Madly dashing to escape his brother who he coated in snow. He grinned. Ah, good days.
“Isn’t it lovely up ‘ere? V’e’re so high. Above…” Wait. Vulkasin leaned out over the branch, aware of the group making it’s way forward their tree. “Ahh… Aha!”
An acorn slipped harmlessly through his fingers. Plop.
Hm. Missed. He looked back to Lynn…who still had that look in her face.
“V’hat is your home like?” plop. This one bounced off Alyona’s head where she sat a few branches down.

Lyn’s breath hitched.
Her home….
Her heart thudded in her chest.
Was it really home anymore?
Lyn sighed. “It’s….Ah…complicated.”
Vulkasin turned, stopping his current taunting of Alyona. Lyn smiled slightly as Ally glared playfully up at the two.
“How so?” He asked.
“Well…” Lyn looked down at her lap. “I…I used to think it was…fantastic. Amazing. Wondrous. But…things change, you know? That’s…that’s why I left I guess…Couldn’t really stay after everything that happened.”
Vulk’s brows furrowed. “I’m…I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to pry.”
“No, it’s fine,” Lyn smiled. “Thing is…I…I think…I don’t know, it just…kinda felt…right, to go with Ara and November. If that makes any sense. And besides, I have Nyx!” Lyn’s eyes sparkled, before falling once more. “Do…do you think he’s okay?”

Lyn laughed as Ally dodged another pinecone. Her shoulders raised in mirth and she sighed.
“Thanks Vulk, that…makes me feel better. Though…I doubt Nyx is too happy about the situation. To be honest…he’s…not really one to make new friends,” she winked, “In case you haven’t noticed.”
Vulk chuckled. “He is a bit…feisty, isn’t he?”
“He is…though…I’m afraid he’s also been a bit…different since we left…some things happened back home and it’s just, made him a bit hard. I dunno…he probably wouldn’t like me sharing all of this, but…” she shrugged. “Sometimes you need to.”
Vulk nodded, giving a comforting smile.
