@sage-g In your drawing for claire, what materials did you use? Markers or watercolor? I can’t tell, but it looks good. How did you blend it so thoroughly?
I can't believe it's not butter!
January 16, 2018 at 7:58 pm #60434Hey,Β @itisastarrynight !
I used Copic markers! (They make blending super easy.) I layered them to deepen some areas, avoiding the areas I wanted to be lighter, and then used a white Jelly Roll pen for the highlights (like, her hair).
I’d definitely recommend Copic’s if you’ve never tried them! π

January 17, 2018 at 11:00 am #60462@clairec I had some extra time yesterday, so I decided to give your character a go. π
January 17, 2018 at 12:21 pm #60471@sage-g I actually own a few copic caios, though Im not too handy with them(they’re amazing tho) . @notawriter thought you did use some alcohol based markers, but the colors were way too light and blended for my eyes to believe it.
@mariposa The facial anatomy looks amazing!I can't believe it's not butter!

I wont say I toldya so :p haha.
@mariposa Wow! You are really good with colored pencils! πand I was so confused
January 17, 2018 at 1:33 pm #60480@mariposaΒ You, my dear, astonish me!!!Β That is…wow.

Cole Avis:
As for your fanfiction, I think it might be okay to post it so long as you credit that it’s based off the Star Wars Universe. π If you still have concerns, I’d ask @aratrea or @daeus about that.

I have a character someone can draw, if they want to (though I unfortunately won’t be able to draw a character in return, as I’m not gifted in drawing or painting or anything like that). Her name’s Darcy, and she’s a 17-year-old princess and assassin with fair snow-white skin, slightly curly jet-black hair, blood-red lips, and chocolate-brown eyes. She’s about 5’3” tall, and usually wears a long, flowing blood-red gown with no sleeves. Let me know if I need to give more information. Thanks!
January 17, 2018 at 6:11 pm #60510@dragon-snapper That is AMAZING! I can’t believe it…that looks exactly like I imagined him! (Well, minus the anime/manga-ness…*cough*)
Ok. Maybe (maybe) I’ll post the first part of my Cole fanfic.
@daeus Thanks! I might post it… I’m still deciding.Kapeefer 'Till We're Old and Grey!
ENFJ-T ... I think (haven't taken the quiz in awhile)January 17, 2018 at 6:42 pm #60512I’m interested in trying Darcy π (Other people please feel free to draw her too!)
How long is her hair though? I imagined it shoulder length but I wanted to check!and I was so confused
January 17, 2018 at 7:36 pm #60515@sage-g Whoa…
@mariposa Whoa…
@dekreel Nice! I like manga too! Yours is good.
@dragon-snapper Ohh…
@jessi-Rae *Grins* You made Snow White an assassin? I may draw her. Maybe. *is not that good at drawing curly hair right, so, we’ll see* *also must find time, it’s always hiding under things* I like fairy tale rewrites.
*whispers* Why is Snow/Darcy an assassin anyway?IMMA KAPEEFER! Til we're old and gray!
January 17, 2018 at 7:45 pm #60517@leumeister
this is a blank model. But I realize that may not have been what you were wanting now. *cough* rigging thoughts *cough* And that you could do it with just a character drawing…*Note:Fig. 1- Knees too high, one arm longer, one foot smaller.
Fig. 2- *groans at the arms*
Fig 3-pretty accurate… Seven heads, so teenager. *realizes that sounds weird* πI can draw a real character though, and make them squint. Muh, ha, ha!
IMMA KAPEEFER! Til we're old and gray!
January 18, 2018 at 2:27 am #60560That’s actually a good idea, drawing the characters like that. π Pretty much like that, from six angles (front, left, back, right, top, maybe bottom… Eh… you could probably get away with only four :P), only with the character design.
Okay, that’s annoying. That’s why I use a mirror modifier when I model symmetrical things… Except for this head that I’m working on… By the way, here’s a WIP of the Camille model
And here’s a closeup of her head:
What needs doing: Rigging; clothes; work on the foot pistons.
Please note, that I did not model the head. I took a base mesh from Blendswap by the userΒ danikreuter and modified it accordingly.
