It loos great! 3 hours isn’t too bad!
Oh that’s great! I have a tachikawa starter set (one G nib (my fav so far) one mapping quill… ect. 5 in total) and it has a mini size tachikawa ink jet black ink, and a holder. The holder holds both small and large nibs. It also has these teeny tiny sheets of paper 😭 with non-photo blue rulings and little characters in the background idk it’s just the cutest little set.
I wanted the set because nibs by themselves are often sold in three packs. If I didn’t get the set, I would have gotten Deleter 4 manga ink. It’s super black, and when I run out of this bottle it’s what I hope to get.
I also will have (birthday lol, I saw it in the store and asked for it) a walnut brown ink, I can’t wait to try it… sometimes I forget what I’ve asked for but not this time! XD

We got a speedball (nice but still cheap) sketching set with three mapping pens, two drawing, and a standardish one, then a set with some oblique nibs. We’re using Dr. Ph. Martin’s black star ink. I’d like to get a nicer set with a wooden holder but this works for now.
We’ve enjoyed it (my sister even more than I, or at least she’s drawn more with them). Its been fun to play around with. I really like the style of the Wingfeather book illustrations, and much of Joe Sutphin’s work in general, which a lot of is done in ink.

Oh speedball is great! My local art supplies store sells their nibs by the single, it’s super convenient but I haven’t tried any of them yet.
The mapping quill is currently one of my favorites. Idk if it’s the same mapping pen you guys have though.
The wingfeather saga illustrations are really cool! I have book 4 and it has some really good ones in it.

can you get me a picture or two of what you want him to look like? It doesn’t have to be color accurate or anything, it just has to have the right shape of the head/horns/whatever.
