I’m not sure if I should finish this. I’ve been playing with slightly different styles because I honestly don’t like “mine”. This was supposed to be Baron, but it doesn’t look like him. I could make it someone else.

(PS. Pfp by SelkieSeal on Unvale. My dear Chase ❤️?)Hmm. I’d say finish it, and if you aren’t sure it’s Barron, take the opportunity to experiment with styles/face shapes/structuring. It may become more like him, or it may become someone else, but either way you got to practice/try something new out.
At least, that’s what I ended up doing several times a few weeks ago when some drawings were turning out in ways I didn’t intend. In the end, I felt a little more capable and had learned some tools for drawing what I see in my mind.
Plus, I like your drawing. I would like to see it finished.

I did end up finishing it.
I love the concept and layout. I changed his eyes, and now I can kinda see him. The coloring is amateur though, I have pieces where I did much better.

Oh, I do so like how it turned out! I see the coloring is simple, especially compared to the lazer price you shared, but it fits this quiet, contemplative portrait. I like the unusual position/perspective, how he’s looking at the rose, plus the rose itself is just lovely.
