*Sigh* Sometimes I hate traditional art and that there is no “Undo” button.
Confuzzled, RAE
(PS. Pfp by SelkieSeal on Unvale. My dear Chase ❤️?)January 11, 2026 at 12:48 am #209794He looks great though! The shading and blending is supper smooth and the contrasts are neat. I really didn’t notice his eyebrows.
But I totally get what you mean about there being no “undo” button.” I love traditional art, the sensory experience of drawing and painting as much as the actual result, but the point of no return is scary to cross. It’s why I spend a while on a pencil draft before moving onto permanent mediums. Even if I slip up with ink etc. generally the final result is a bit more balanced than it would have been. (although I’ve done a little sketching with just a pen and just decided to work with what I got. That’s fun too in a different way.)
I also like collecting old ink illustrations because 1. They’re beautiful and offer great inspo, and 2. They’re often full of awkward not-quite-rights and mistakes if you look close enough. So they offer consolation. XD
You have listened to fears, child. Come, let me breathe on you... Are you brave again? -Aslan
January 14, 2026 at 9:15 am #209824Ooo! I like it tho! Even with the eyebrows. It almost looks stylistic….
woah! Cool guy! You’re proportions are really good btw!
I actually love those really sketchy pen and ink styles that have the multiple lines sort of lightly done before the artist settled on the one he/she liked. You know the ones I’m talking about?

I’m weirdly drawn to your drawing and I don’t know why. That’s a compliment from me. ?
I really like the warm grays you used. Warm gray is an entirely under-appreciated color scheme for characters and it’s one of my favorites. You also did a good job of alternating between sharp lines and more blended edges.

Oop it’s been a few days. Here’s my drawing. I told myself I’d post the last thing I drew and what do you know, it was this! ?

For context, I do not want children (or my crazy friends) playing with my new amplifier and bursting their eardrums. So I drew this meme to discourage them from touching the knobs.
I do like a good Emperor’s New Groove reference
