You’re welcome!
oh my goodness you totally got the hair! Looks great!
Ooo! *is immediately interested. XD*
XD oh boy, you like a good old tragic story? I mean you could look into it for yourself, if you don’t want spoilers I’m happy to answer questions. It’s a phycological thriller, it’s a little creepy and a lot of bad things happen but unlike most anime’s it really doesn’t have fanservice. You know how most animes have that one hot girl who’s a constant issue and causes scenes to be skipped? Link click is just too serious for that and I’m so thankful they left the weird tropes out. The second episode of S1 has a lesbian couple and you probably want to skip it but that’s all I can remember.
Oh and when I say that bad things happen, like they let things play out on the screen and it’s a bit shocking sometimes. I’ve heard people say they wish the show toned it down but the other general consensus I have seen is that China has a problem with domestic violence not being recognized as the problem it is, so allowing the viewer to be shocked is necessary to bring awareness in China.
Anyways, I could go on and on about the show because it’s so well written and the art is amazing but I’ll stop here ?

Girl, Ellette writes some of the most tragic characters. She and Freedom make it their business to make KP cry, I swear.
Also, thank you. The hair took me forever.
Thanks!. I may go back and put in some parts of the original design, but I said I would let this drawing sit for a week, so we’ll see :).

Haha really? I guess I haven’t been keeping up with the writing that happens here…
Also, thank you. The hair took me forever.
Of course!

December 13, 2025 at 7:50 am #209111Interesting…… I may have to check it out!
XD oh boy, you like a good old tragic story?
Are you kidding??!?!? If I’m not crying at the end of the book, (and several times in the middle) I feel sold short.
Okay, lol, there are plenty of books I’ve loved that aren’t tragic, but yes, I love tragedy. I have a thing for it. Although….. I don’t like secular tragedy as much because it ends up leaving you with a very dark and hopeless note. Tragedy written by Christians always has that bittersweet victory in the end…. if that makes sense. So I tend to find my favorites being the ones written in the 1400s up to about the 1800s. Though of course you have to get pickier the newer you go.
Anyhow, that’s my beginning to rant and then pulling myself up. XD
You know, I’d like to see a colored in version of the sketch you posted on here. like, no changes what-so-ever. (whenever you feel like it, that is)

Hey!!
Okay that’s entirely fair. But it’s always tragedy for a reason. Not just to make people cry, but because it completes arcs or is unavoidable in the narrative. (that’s my very strong defense against the charges. ?)
And now that Freedom has been gone for so long…… it means making KP cry is all up to me. *evil laughter* lololololololol

December 13, 2025 at 8:04 am #209112Not to beat a dead drawing (lololololol, totally just made that up on accident because I typed the wrong words. XD) But I was looking at the two pictures and I know why I like the sketch so much better as Baron (or Barron? No….. it’s one “r”…. I think) anyhow. The colored in version is more correct to real life with the hair and wind direction. The other one is actually not, like Min pointed out. It has a weird wind current to it. BUT, that makes it distinctly Baron. (notice how I knew exactly who the character you were drawing was without you telling us it was him) whereas with the colored in one, it looks like any other normal person, except his hair is silver or else he just ages really well. XD So why I like the other one so much better is because, in a line-up, I could tell you right away that it was Baron. So yes, Min is right, it’s a little un-realistic in our normal world, but that’s what makes it so distinct.
Anyhow, that’s my opinion. XD Do what you like with it.

December 13, 2025 at 1:04 pm #209116yeah ok I get that. There’s different kinds of tragedy, and it’s interesting how every country does it differently as well as every religion. Yeah I like those bittersweet endings too, I think they are more common in western stuff, possibly because of Christian influence!
Chinese and Japanese tragedies don’t usually end on the hopeful glimmer, but they usually have a interesting message to take away from it still.
I think the theme of Link click with Tragedy is (Can I sum this up without writing a paragraph lol?) that basically even though a lot of peoples lives are cut short, they unique lessons they learned and decisions they made, and their impact on others and the world around them makes it worthwhile, because every life is valuable, and those people are worth fighting for no matter how short of a time we knew them. Yeah I guess just that life is worth fighting for even when everything is terrible.
So yeah Link click is a secular show and I’m sure there might be some things you wouldn’t like about it, it’s just kinda about regular people and the lives they live and attempting to save as many as you can lol.

December 13, 2025 at 1:16 pm #209117oh yeah, I guessed it was secular, and I like some secular tragedies. I tend to like the Christian one’s better. XD
I’ll have to check it out sometime!

December 15, 2025 at 12:08 pm #209204@rae I like both pictures! The second one looks like he’s moving, which I think is neat. The only thing I’d like better about the other is that I do like the wind coming from behind him/how it pushes his hair forward and frames his face. I’m enjoying imagining them happening right after each other in a scene, like he turned around. 😀

December 15, 2025 at 12:19 pm #209207I actually have a similar drawing I could use some critique on. It’s of Elrond as a kid. I intend to add Elros too. (I’m only a little bit of a LotR/Silmaril nerd, unless it concerns these two. I realized how many amazing twin brothers are in this family, and now I want to know their story, lol. And write a fanfic. Save their uncles… ? The Elrond/Elros dynamic is fascinating. Like, identical but also not..???) (Anyway, that was free. 😉 )
I was playing with a lighting technique I saw in an old illustration. It’s got so many issues in construction etc. but I’m struggling to fix them… Also, for credit’s sake, I did use another artist’s drawing as reference. But it’s fairly different.

@linus-smallprint I love your style, it’s so cool. I don’t know if there are Narnia graphic novels, but I’d totally read one drawn like that. Your characters’ eyes are very expressive."When in doubt, eat cheese crackers."-me to my charries who don't even know about cheese crackers
December 16, 2025 at 11:03 am #209239I am working on drawing all my 600+ peoples alphabetically, and I decided to start with B…for no reason in particular. I have five left.

Unfortunately it’s missing my girlie Billie because I created her after I started this… ugh.

December 17, 2025 at 12:05 pm #209248600+? That’s… a lot of characters… You’ve got a lot of patience.
How long did it take you to do just those 28?

Thank you!

December 17, 2025 at 12:10 pm #209250Sorry it took me a while to reply. I’ve been neglecting KingdomPen (and some other things), as of late. Trying to get back into it.
Your drawing does look good! The hair does look like it is caught up in the wind. The scarf looks a little stiff, though. I might expect it to bulge a little with the wind. Other than that, it’s a good, clean drawing!
