Hello all, I decided to just tell you guys I made an account on an art-sharing site called Unvale. My handle is RaE16 for whoever wants to check me out or whatever, idk.

sorry for the poor quality. She’s a caecilian which is actually a type of amphibian. They usually have tiny eyes or none at all, but I wanted it to be cute. Based on the style from Naomi Lord.

I love it!!!!!!!!! So cool! i love the different styles and ideas everyone has on here. Like, I don’t draw digital and I don’t draw animals often, let alone anthropomorphic ones, so it’s really nice to see those!
It’s especially nice to see anthropomorphic drawings that aren’t furries for once *sigh* the non-Christian artworld drives me nuts.
Idk why i’m going on a rant now, but I feel like I always tell you guys on here that your art looks good, but never go into detail how much I appreciate it! Especially the progress. I remember some of Keilah’s earlier drawings on here, and putting my memory side by side to her new ones…Amazing!

This was the inspo picture for the girl up there. I really liked it, and i took some of the elements from it (like the ears, long neck, round face shape, hand, butterflies, and flowers) that really caught my attention in the first place. Does it look too similar?
For a while, when I was trying to learn more for art, especially different styles and anatomy, I wouldn’t trace, but i would often copy pictures I liked, just with my own spin, and now I’m trying to deviate from that and develop completely my own stuff, so I’m a little paranoid not to make it a copy (unless it’s a realistic drawing from a real picture like the bread cat). But I also know there is a line between copy and using a picture for inspiration and just taking and incorporating elements from the inspo. Does my drawing look like a copy with a twist or like it’s just one piece inspired by the other?

I think the flower girl one looks inspired, but not a copy. Similar, but actually quite different. Which is what you want, correct? You have her left arm down and the flowers are quite different, which makes the picture pretty distinct. Oh and you have less butterflies and a different face.
