Here is a random unfinished page of a comic I started a year or two ago. Of course I recreated it digitally and revamped some things, but it follows the basic ideas of the original panels.
I was gonna do two pages—because I have just enough content for that—but I got so exhausted from this one that I probaby won’t. Seriously took way too much energy. And I still have to fix a few things…
like the height of that table…Anyhow. Sorry if its hard to read. Ignore the first blank panel—it’ll show the exterior of the school they’re in… when i get the energy to draw that… which could be never. You see those arrows in the top corner? Yup yup, reads right-to-left.

So would the book open to the left? Is that a normal thing for comic books (*has no clue since current comic expirence is nearly non-existent*)?

Yeah, it would.
Not normal for western comics, but that’s how Japanese mangas are—at least as far as I’ve seen. It’s got to do with the language it’s written in. Western/English comics read left to right because thats how English reads.
Japanese mangas/comics read the other way… which is cooler imo and why i did that page like that despite it being a pain for English people. I don’t actually know why they do it like that though…i think Japanese in manga reads downwards… *typing noises as i look it up really quick* …oh, yeah, downward and to the right, it seems.
