Where does everyone get their photo references for practice? I used Pinterest for the art on the last page, but I’m wondering if there’s a better source…?

also tbh I mostly use references of the actual character I’m drawing. I just yoink ‘em off google images (obviously with the safe search function on)

Thx! ? I’m trying to get comfortable with the line of action and forming the mass of the figure around it. It should make my art easier to look at. That’s what they say… Must… get better… *Eye twitches*

Marbles (also called Marbie) is the one in the photo. She’s my grumpy lady.

Then there’s her sons Mazel and Candy. Button and Hobbes, our adopted stray kittens and finally good ol’ Mr. Mittens.

here’s the finished product of what I showed earlier!! I spent WAYYYY too long finalizing the shading….and now that I look at it from afar I can barely see any of it but I’m not gonna go back and do any more work on this drawing or I’ll never be happy with it. So yeah.

 

My dad said it looked like a freeze frame of an animation, and my mom asked me if I could sell art like this like I do with my books (I told her no, not of Huntress and Sniper in specific cause they’re inspired by an already existing property, but if I used completely original characters maybe)
