Ah! Kill her!
Just joking. *crosses arms sulkily*
Okay, I’ll give it to the movies that they were really, really well done, but I just can’t forgive them for cutting out and changing so much.

Yay! I’m so glad!

September 23, 2024 at 5:35 pm #186221Aaiii! Save us, it’s a film lover!
*Strangled gasp of horror*
😈 I am evil incarnate.
Part of me really wants to see the movies, since they are touted as being so accurate and fantastic, while another part of me clenches my mental images close and growls protectively. It’s how I am with every book I read, (especially Narnia, hehe).
I can see how someone would feel that way. I’ve never had trouble keeping my mental images separate from movies. It must depend on the person lol.

*Hides with Freedom* XDXD
For me, LotR is very dense in detail and characters, and it would be a disservice to both movie-making and the spirit of LotR if the movies tried to include everything. (Although more Faramir would be nice! 😂)
Movies as a media are supposed to be streamlined, so if they included all the side plots, the pacing would slow down.
I guess a movie adaptation will never please everyone, lol. Especially because fans have different ideas of what is essential to a piece of media. That would be an interesting topic to discuss, sometime.

Man that is amazing, did you use a reference or was it from memory?
Where'd I get ya this time? The liver? The kidney? I'm runnin' outta places to put holes in ya.
September 23, 2024 at 6:06 pm #186224@elishavet-pidyon oooh yes gray eyes, my favorite haha
@ellette-giselle that’s good. I haven’t been on horses much but I’ve never been thrown by one either, thankfully.Where'd I get ya this time? The liver? The kidney? I'm runnin' outta places to put holes in ya.
September 23, 2024 at 6:58 pm #186229Thanks! 🙂 It was fun to draw.

That would be nice. XD It’s annoying to have different versions of characters competing for attention. I can usually keep them straight, but one slowly fades….
And then….
It’s gone.
And of course, by the time I’m watching the film, I’ve developed strong attachments to the characters, so any real change feels like a personal offense. XD (Peter would never say that, never!!!! Etc. Etc. 😉 )
Really? I like it too, pretty well. I don’t think I have a favorite, although I like hazel-green eyes.
You have listened to fears, child. Come, let me breathe on you... Are you brave again? -Aslan

Rereading Narnia is the ultimate cure for boredom.
