(*grunts* Oh, the pics aren’t working.. I’ll still try to explain a little, but sorry if this is hard to understand 😑)

Here is what I do, anyway.

I start by drawing a curved line across the forehead-area (where the hairline should be), and then re-go over it with a jagged line–kinda like a bunch of triangles. Then, I just connect the hair of the bangs to those triangles.

Soorrrryyyy, I don’t know how helpful I was… and it’s hard for me to explain without a picture…

Maybe this might help a little….? Idk

Okay I think pics are working again! Here is my “concept art” for Hugo XD It’s mostly rough because I sketched them both only yesterday, but I thought I could get suggestions before I finish. Any thoughts?

Yeah you can picture him differently, this is more of a cutesy style, and I’m probably going to try drawing him a tad more realistically. This is more of a “literally draw any fun detail that comes to mind” doodle.

And there are some proportions I want to change too, like the size of the eyes, face shape, etc.

Thx! Yeah, definitely Song of the Sea vibes XD Nah, it’s supposed to be more random hair, but if it looks like a crown I am certainly not against that.

Oh, um… like, what were you expecting him to look like versus what you got? So I can adjust what I want. Like I said, this is a first try and I’m not completely happy with it myself.
