      @mineralizedwritings

      Wow that was really helpful

      I have an iPad and an Apple pencil (it’s not an actual Apple pencil it’s a knock-off) and then I use Procreate (which has very similar features)

      I find I do alright with the sketching, and then I get into coloring and just fall on my face XD

      but thanks for the tips and I’ll defiantly be using them

        Yw! I’m glad I could help!

        For coloring, starting with a solid color on everything first really helps. If you try to shade and highlight as you work, before you have a base layer color down, it’s a lot harder.

          I use Procreate too.

              @smiley My dad’s cousin uses it too and says making multiple layers for shading and highlights is a good idea.

                    Wanda better be on that list, I’m still mad at freedom for not including her, *does a Wanda’s head tilt to freedom*

                    besides the twin should be together

                    OoOOOOo freedom got the head tilt!!!

                    Don’t worry, she is. 😉😂

                    I think my top 5 rn are…

                    1. Steve

                    2. Bucky

                    3. Wanda

                    4. Spiderman

                    5. Hawkeye

                    (Pietro hasn’t quite surpassed those five yet, he’s close though…)

                    I rolled the log over and underneath was a tiny little stick and I was like, "That log had a child

                      Those new drawings I shared on here are drawn in Procreate! And we have the exact same setup!

                      Everything @mineralizedwritings and @keilah-h has helped me a lot so far. Some other random tips…

                      Watch a lot of speedpaint videos for digital art. You can find them everywhere on YouTube, and they can really ingrain the digital process in your mind. Just super beneficial. The one thing to keep in mind, though, is that the art community in general can make questionable/suggestive\gross content – which sometimes stays up despite demonetizing. So that’s something to be aware of.

                      You’ll find on the color wheel, on the bottom of the box, a symbol labeled… I think harmony? I don’t have my tablet on hand to check, but something like that. If you tap on it, you can explore complimentary colors and different methods of choosing your palette. Just discovered it a couple days ago XD

                      Multiply is HUUUUUUUGE help for shading. On the layer boxes, you’ll find a little “N” on the right of all the boxes. Make a new layer, and click the N. There will be a bunch of options, which when you scroll through, and which will change the layer colors if you’re on a layer with stuff on it already. On the new layer, click N and scroll to the top for Multiply. Then choose a color and brush over your piece! It’s the perfect way to color in the shadows.

                      (If none of that made sense, look up a tutorial video XD)

                      That’s all I have for now. Good luck!

                            I sure hope they’re fixed soon.

                            @everyone

                            This week, I will spend my vacation break eating copious amounts of nutella on bread, while staring out upon a country sunset. If all goes according to plan, I will come back with many rough character sketches. I can’t wait to share them!! <3
