Yeah so the soldiers here exist some 200 years before Tauren and Lesli. I might right a prequel or do a couple short stories with the characters, but they aren’t a part of the main series. It’s just to set up that the world was in a almost sci fi setting, and was getting destroyed by warefare. The great civil war is mentioned throughout the series because it’s the characters main defining historical event they know about, so that’s why I have the story starting there. Layson actually gets to see the remnants of the war in his book, he actually camps out at one of the old munitions factories too.

Soooo….I was thinking about doing some brainstorming for the MC’s, main side characters, villains, etc, from my WWI WIP, Fallen Dreams, and I was wondering if anyone wanted to hear about them or not 😂

I will let everyone know…Fallen Dreams will be a much harder, deeper book, as both MC’s don’t have positive character arcs, and the ending will be more bitter than sweet for this planned Novel.
One of the biggest things I’m trying to show through it is what happens when people, especially Christians, don’t step in and help broken people who are only seeking for hope, love, etc…and how Christians not helping out can be one factor in such broken people walking down to the path that leads to destruction (and at least one of the MC’s dies in my main WIP as an unredeemed villain…😭)
Just thought I’d let y’all know…don’t want anyone to get triggered, depressed, or anything 💖

So, I’m gonna start with the MC’s!!!! First off…
Felix Feliz Baumann, 31 years oldWavy Blonde hair, bluish-green eyes.
Muscular and tall.
About 6’3” or so.
Protective, fierce, devoted, hard-working, harsh at times, full of anger against specific people, kind
Born to Heinrich and Matilda Baumann, a rich German couple, as the oldest of 3 brothers.
Had a bad, abusive home life, and is always in conflict with his father, and hates his parents for what they’ve done.
A private in the German army but hates war.
Wholly devoted to his beloved wife and son.
Having grown up in a bad, abusive household, only doted on by house staff, Felix has grown up with a festering hatred for his mother and father, who have only hurt him and his younger brothers. He sees the way his parents are, how abusive they are, but they act differently at church, as they only go to church because it’s the “right” thing to do culturally, and Felix has no regard for Christianity, except for as an image. He’s never understood the true Gospel, and his parents have never been living examples of Christ, so for him, being a Christian just means going to church on Sunday and pretending to have your life together. He’s never tried to understand how his parents could be so abusive, because he knows that nothing can justify it, and thus, his hatred against them only festers and grows larger. He will never forgive his parents for what they’ve done, and he doesn’t believe he has a reason to. But truthfully…he doesn’t only blame his parents…isn’t it also his fault that his younger brothers have been hurt?

Hans Theodore Baumann, age 28Wavy Blonde hair, coal eyes.
Skinny, a little muscled, and fairly tall.
About 6’1” or so.
Has undiagnosed (hasn’t been discovered or understood yet) C-PTSD/Complex Post-Traumatic Disorder
Rude at times, naive, has several moments of compassion, generous, protective, can be overbearing, sarcastic, hard-working, devoted, stubborn
Born to Heinrich and Matilda Baumann, a rich German couple, as the middle of 3 brothers.
Has always had a bad, abusive home life, and is always in rebellion of his parents, whom he’s almost never loved, due to their abusive behaviors.
A private in the German army, but only wants to come home to his wife, who is pregnant with their first child.
Has always watched his parents pretend to be good people at church, and having always been around people who call themselves Christians but don’t live it, Hans has hardened his heart against God. If these people are supposed to represent Jesus…then how cruel is Jesus? If Christians are supposed to represent God…then Hans wants nothing to do with God. He hates Christianity, and sees it as merely a cover and a fantasy, created by evil people who want excuses to look down on others. So…in that light…God is dead to him.
