Chapter 1
November
He leaned back against the wall.
He was lucky he hadn’t tripped when he was walking over to it.
There were toys everywhere in the hallway.
And…well…he wasn’t exactly…the most graceful.
And that was the nice way of putting it.
“You’re a klutz, and nothing but one.”
He flinched at the memory, grabbing a loose ginger curl and tugging it. It was a long-standing habit.
November let out a deep sigh.
Giggles sounded as three toddlers raced down the hall, squealing in delight, running from one of the workers.
The woman slowed down and stopped, catching her breath, face red with exertion and fury. “You stupid children! You’re supposed to do what you’re told! And who left toys in the hallway again!?” She muttered a few choice words underneath her breath before turning to November. “You, you go find those tots and bring them back here to take care of their mess!”
His eyes widened. “M-me?”
The woman readjusted her black uniform, coal-colored eyes piercing. “I said you, didn’t I!? Or do I need to repeat myself, or did you hear me and chose to ignore me? If you’re ignoring me, then, well…a lesson is in store, isn’t it, hmm?”
Dread filled his chest, and he quickly shook his head. “I-I’ll go get them for you, Ma’am.”
“You better.” The woman snarled, before turning on her heel and stalking away.
November took in a deep breath, making his way down the hall. He stepped over and around toys, trying to not fall, careful to remember where he was setting his sneakers.
He was, well, known to be…clumsy.
It was the reason his father hadn’t wanted him.
One of many reasons.
Tears threatened to fall, but he forced them back, unwilling to cry.
His red sneaker landed on a toy train.
And November went cascading to the hardwood floor.
He hit the floor, hard. He groaned.
Not only had he made a complete embarrassment of himself, but he’d possibly never find the toddlers who had run away from the worker.
If he failed to do what the worker wanted and the word got back to the head of the orphanage and boarding school…a shudder ran up and down November’s spine.
He wouldn’t be able to escape the punishment for that.
Footsteps sounded. “You really need to stop tripping.”
His cheeks flushed and November slowly sat up, easing tension from his neck with his hand, the healing bruises on his arms and back crying out for mercy. “I-I didn’t mean to do that…”
The teen girl leaned back against the wall, crossing her arms, her long black hair flowing around her shoulders, matching her black clothes. The only thing about her that wasn’t, well, dark, was her bright blue eyes. “…What are you doing, anyways?”
“Uhm…I-I’m chasing after a few toddlers. They were running from one of the workers. She couldn’t catch up to them.”
Corvina laughed. “Serves them right.”
November merely shrugged, slowly standing, though his legs were a bit wobbly. Yeah, most of the workers weren’t the nicest.
But November never wished ill on anyone.
“I-I should probably go catch up to the toddlers now…I guess I’ll see you later Corvina!”
And he took off down the hall, avoiding toys, chasing down toddlers, attempting to save himself from punishment that was likely coming his way.

#ProtectSebXDXD That’s hilarious!! I wish I had girl cousins lol. I have 20 boy cousins, and literally 3 girl cousins. But the one my age, moved. So at family gatherings I usually hang out with my guy cousins, one in particular. We talk about Star Wars XD.
Haha, one of the girls at a church camp I went to took a shower in 2 minutes flat and I was just like: HOW 😲
Mine actually don’t take as long as my brother says, lol. Maybe like 15-20 minutes.

Theres Aramis, Edrich, Kainda, (one that y’all may not know super well, but I’ve mentioned before, she’s the dryad queen, her name is Sylvaine AKA Sylvie), Zolten (since this is an AU he could be alive or dead XD) Lilith, Riven, Callan (the bully to November from A’Grend who helps Riven).
(a list in case u wanted/needed one. I mean there are more and I totally don’t mind if you want to make your own OCs for this AU!!! Like you do in the marvel ones. Honestly it’s up to you, so long as ya try to kinda stick to their personalities, i don’t really care.)
My main thing is my charries personalities and main features being right but other then that *yeets everything else out window XD*
oh and that November still has a crush on Ara. That’s a must. Please XD
I will say if you decide to use Ridley, he’s more of an anti-hero sometimes, it really depends. He turns redeemed again in the end of the book he was in. It was honestly one of those Good boy gone bad gone back to good situations 😂

also Ridley is amazing honestly I love him.
Like…he’s just so conflicted and ends up in a bad position in the actual books. Like the rest of Cirque he comes under Zolten’s control, and it becomes a very toxic and abusive relationship, almost like a master/servant type thing or blackmailer/blackmailee but it’s so incredibly hard/heartbreaking because he and Lyn are in love with each other.
I know a lot of people don’t like Preteen romances and it’s not exactly like that it’s more like Mutual crushes and a more Meant to be together/betrothed type thing, where even Zolten is going to allow it to happen, but Ridley is under Zolten’s feet (like everyone else in Cirque)
But it finally just becomes too much for him to handle.

Sooo…if you don’t mind, I’d like your opinion. 🙂 Who do you think would be the best one to be the one running the orphanage/boarding school? 🤔🤔🤔 They’re not nice, so it needs to be a villain, but I don’t care which one, and I’m unsure of which one to do…😅
