@freedomwriter76 ha…trust me I am no expert by any means!! In fact…I was dreading this soooo much XD XD
a lot of it just comes from my thoughts on Jewish culture and tradition, and honestly I think a lot of the love/thoughts from that has stemmed from watching the Chosen lol!!
@keilah-h thank you!!! I I’ve had A’Grend in my minds eye for a long time, and the first most inspiration came from the Garden of Eden: a kind of “Perfect” safe haven created by God for those who want to serve Him and escape the darkness of the world.It’s practically perfect…at least environmental and landscape wise…but as always people tend to…well…mess things up more often then not.
My other inspirations is just kind of a quaint village, nothing fancy (fanciest thing is the palace) and outside of it is rolling hills and farmlands, a large river for the fishers, etc, and of course The Garden which is located way out in a hilltop. Most don’t visit there as it is sacred and mostly for the royal family and their guests, a Gift from the Light to forever show His blessing upon the land.
Culture wise I wanted it to just be simple and down to earth since it was filled with farmers, cobblers, that kind of thing. And as I was working I realized Religion played a big part into it, especially at the founding and so I took a ton of inspiration from Jewish culture, (and will continue to do so with another race/culture I’ll be creating way in the future) but also tried to keep it balanced with that down to earth, simple construct of “Yea we’re all just kinda simple folk…”
They invite friends and family to the weddings, have parties that resemble “Hoedowns, harvest fests,” things like that.

@keilah-h as for races? I don’t have a set number because truthfully my world isn’t Set and completely built…and I don’t really want it to be if that makes sense??
it’s an ever expanding world. And that gives me the freedom to create as much as I want!!
Right now I have, the Fae Folk, which include: The Pixies, The Dryads, The Nymphs (now known as the Mer), and The Icari. (I think that’s all of them.)
There are the Kobolds, the Elves, Luna, Corvina and November’s race (which are still nameless XD), the shifters (which is a slang term, they have different names)
And…a lot of others…
and don’t get me started on creatures cuz that’s endless XD

After Simon Peter, my favorites tho are probably Matthew, Simon Z (hehe, yes, I love him!!! 😍), and probably John. ❤️❤️❤️

Charries of mine like Feather and Jareth would totally get the “It’s God’s place! You can’t just WALK IN!” idea. I’m not sure if all of my others would get it though…you all need to work on that, guys…..
So what exactly does each one look like? I know the Fae are the winged ones, but I suppose each one has different wing styles and stuff? Are the elves like stereotypical elves, or more like LOTR/KOTLC elves, or something else? And what are Kobolds like?
