Right. Here is an idea that @daeus had. And I figured it deserves its own topic. Here is his idea:
Here’s an idea. Maybe those of us that have this problem (being distracted and not writing) could log in and holler out to see if anyone wants to write with them for a certain period of time. If anyone is available, then they could both do it t…[Read more]

@daeus HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!! And HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA some more. Oh, Daeus you do make me laugh. Next week I’ll probably look different yet again. They do say “A change is as good as a holiday.” Now, I’ve been made to look like Peter Pan, Aladdin and a pirate (all boy roles I may point out!) But I have never been made to look…[Read more]

*looks up obnoxious in dictionary* Oh, so that’s what it means. I wouldn’t have put that to you.
Yes!!! I’m not the only one. Phew, now I don’t feel so bad. Deja vu! I’ve heard that call for Heeeeeeeellp!! so many times.
And how do we fix them: We find what the distraction is and get rid of it. The TV, internet, etc… (Boy that would be hard. 🙁 ) -

Thank you @kate-flournoy.

@kate-flournoy. Help. Ok, so I’ve kinda overcome writer’s block. I can think of lots of good ideas, but I can’t get the words to flow. Any suggestions?

“Oh,” I said. I hadn’t meant to hurt him. “Well, we can be good friends now, right?”
He nods and looks at me.
“Um, anything else I should know?” My head was hurting and I rub my temples.
“Oh boy,” said Gavin. “You really have forgotten everything. Perhaps I had better come in and explain it to you so you understand what is going on.”
“Sure,” I…[Read more] -

@overcomer I like this one definitely out of your lot of titles. “Marks of a Typewriter.” But “Dust and Ink” is good too. 🙂

Jesus, Jesus,
You saved me from death.
Why? Why me?
I’m sinful.
I’m broken.
I’m awful.
I make the wrong choices.
There is no good in me.
But still you love me!
But still you pursue me!
You took the cross,
You carried it for the world.
You were tortured,
Humiliated,
For the world,
For me.
Then you rose,
Victorious,
From the grave,
You came alive…[Read more] -

@everyone, Happy Good Friday! I mean, it’s not really happy, but anyway…
I’m watching the Passion of the Christ tonight to remind myself that today is more than just another day. -

The conflict is in reaching the goal, not the goal itself.
@kate-flournoy, yeah, that’s what I was trying to say, but you said it better. 😉 😛
Yes, character conflict is quite interesting. In the novel I’m working on with my sister (@ingridrd), we use some of that (MC and a snobby girl [aka Sheryn Slade] are always at each other’s throats).…[Read more] -

“This is really weird, introducing myself to you. Okay,” he sucks in a deep breath. “I’m Gavin Frensky.”
Gavin Frensky. The name sounds familiar…like someone I dreamed about but whom I didn’t know personally. I stare at Gavin, unable to tear my gaze away. “How old are you, Gavin?”
“I’m 17.”
Seventeen. For some reason, seventeen doesn’t seem…[Read more] -

@overcomer I do love the beach. You make me wish for summer all again. We are into our first month of autumn and heading for winter. 🙁 (And my birthday 🙂 )
@kate-flournoy A wise move. I shall endeavour to do the same. -

@overcomer Ooooo….great poem. I really loved it.
Hmm…titles. Not my strong point.

Let me try that again… for some reason I switched to past tense.
“Who are you?” I manage to ask him.
“Someone who knows why you’re here,” the man answers.
I can’t stop staring at the man. There’s something unusual about him that I can’t put my finger on… - Load More
