@kathleenramm Oh, probably the plot. The first plot was bad. Also different character arcs.

I love revamping old stories. Because you already have the characters and the story, so you can just focus all your energy on shaping all the pieces into a really interesting story.
What are you most looking forward to redoing in that story?
Well, I mean we didn’t always get along haha. When we were younger there…[Read more]

@kathleenramm The writing process for TAD was long. VERY long. I think I spent at least two solid years on it. XD
@anatra23 Correct me if I’m wrong, but… is your pfp an ATLA screencap?
A 25-step process of how to create a TAD, Grace K-M style:
1. Read the Lumberjanes books.
2. Play Legend of Zelda and write (terrible) fanfic about it.

@joy-caroline Weeeeelllll…. actually… all of my characters have BFLs but I’ll just talk about one character here. 😉
Bren is the protagonist of The Azure Diamond, as I’m sure a lot of you know by now. XD Her Big Fat Lie™ is that she was the cause of her older sister’s death. Her older sister, Asla Saidaas, died about four years before the…[Read more]

@kathleenramm It was fun. A learning experience. Terrible result, and I’m going to completely revamp it, but I’m glad I finished it, even if it took years. And after that, I could write more.

Percy Jackson was my childhood! I started reading the series when I was nine and they still have a special place in my heart today. The Lighting Thief was the first book that made me like reading!
Whose your favorite character?
And what thing about the books surprised you the most?
Woah! I’m so glad you liked it!…[Read more]

Kathleen replied to the topic What are the 2 (or 3) biggest stakes in your story? in the forum Topic of the Week 4 years, 8 months ago
I love how each book continues and develops the stakes. So they aren’t the same old stakes or total random new ones, but developed stakes form the previous books.
And I really love the theme of selfishness in the last book and how it ties in with the stakes. It makes the characters and the story so interesting.
How long have you been…[Read more]

What was it like writing your first novel?
The very first novel I finished I wrote with my siblings. We always had trouble actually finishing a novel from front to back, because along the way we’d run into a problem that we couldn’t find a solution to that we all likedSo determined to finish our first novel we decided to do something way…[Read more]

@kathleenramm I bought it at Barnes and Nobles, because my library didn’t have it, sadly. I think it was the first manga I actually bought. I’ve seen the live action too, but not the anime yet. What did you like about it?

Your friend has great taste. Erased was so good I watched it in two days.
Visuals in writing is so fun. It’s a challenge because you can only use words instead of actual imagery, but that somehow makes it all the better because you have to get creative with it.
My favorite part about writing is exploring different characters. Their…[Read more]
