@seekjustice She hasn’t read Stars, so she doesn’t know much about him, but I tried to give her a pretty clear picture of what he’s like. She found it quite amusing. 😉
Actually, the way I describe you whenever I’m talking about your books to her is “remember my friend, the one who wrote the book where everyone dies?” and she immediately knows…[Read more]

Okay then 🙂
What did your sister think of Kendall? Coincidentally, I was also explaining to my sister how everything was Kendall’s fault.

@valtmy Oh, too bad. I suppose you’re right, and I could understand it better because I have more practice. I got to see it done live once, and that was really cool too.
@seekjustice I’m afraid I won’t be on anymore tonight. I was planning on having a word war with you and chatting some more, but I just got distracted talking with my sister fo…[Read more]

@Rochellaine It is. Anyhow, I wish to speak of happier things 😀
But everything is Kendall’s fault 😛
Have fun on your trip 🙂
I enjoy using Scrivener a lot. I still use Word for writing first drafts, but I found Scrivener really useful when I did the last round of edits on SFI. I haven’t fully got the hang of it yet, but…[Read more]

@valtmy You did??! What did you think? Did you like it? Who’s your favorite character? What’s your favorite song? Which version did you watch?
😉 😛 😛

@valtmy Hello!!
@seekjustice Sounds horrible. 🙁 There is one historically inaccurate movie I really like, but that’s probably because I don’t know the true story of the person very well.
I burst out laughing when reading our comments on my original document. We were talking about what Justice’s reaction to finding out Chessy was tortured…[Read more]

@rochellaine I can’t be on right now; too busy at the moment…
@seekjustice @valtmy @ariel-ashira @alia @catwing @kaya-young @dekreel
Just letting you all know that I’ll be leaving for a trip Sunday, so I probably won’t be on here really at all until Friday. You can still tag me for things if you’d like, and I’ll try to respond as soon as I can. 🙂

Good plan. I would be better off never knowing of its existence.
Its mostly a romance between Gladys and a half-Chinese half-Dutch (and yet so thoroughly white and American) colonel, Gladys with bobbed blonde hair (rather than long and black) and about two Asian actors. Its 1958, I believe, and no wonder she hated it.
I love your…[Read more]

No, I haven’t, but I’ve heard of it and have no intention of ever watching it. I believe I read about it in a biography of Gladys Aylward and I think she herself was horrified when she heard what they had done to her story. Sounds like it even puts the term “highly fictionalized” to shame. 😛
You say “old” movie…what year w…[Read more]

Hello! I’d like to have a word war with you soon!
Have you seen the movie The Inn of the Sixth Happiness? I just finished reading a book about Gladys Aylward, who’s one of my very favourite missionaries and it mentioned an old movie about her, which I looked up. I’ve watched about five minutes and I’m already horrified.

@jenwriter17 I’m so sorry! I keep forgetting about this, because when I’m on KP I really only check Writers’ Corner (the only really live topic left). 🙁
Going back and reading through your poem I can’t find the places that I thought were jerky before. However, I think the difference could be that I read it aloud this time, rather than in my h…[Read more]

😛 I do things like that all the time. Sometimes, if I’m actually talking, I’ll just say a word, which may or may not have anything to do with it 😀

@seekjustice Proof that I’m sleepy: I had the word “executioner” all ready to write in the previous post, but I couldn’t think of the word “execute” to go along with it, so I sat with my eyes closed for several minutes trying to think of the synonym for “put to death” even though all I had to do was remember the different form of the word “executioner”.

Ah yes. I remember it now. Goodnight!

Rochellaine replied to the topic Writers' Corner #21 in the forum General Writing Discussions 7 years, 6 months ago
The Mikado is the one where flirting is made a capital offense but no one can be executed because the executioner himself is next in line to be executed, and he refuses to execute himself.
I’m sleepy, so goodnight. 🙂

Anything to keep you going on Daughter of Judas 😛
I believe I have read the synopsis before, or you’ve at least told me about it.
