@seekjustice aw, sorry to leave you alone, but I’ll be back soon. 😉 The night is still young! 😀

@jenwriter17 278 words.
I’ve got to go for a short bit. See you in a while if you’re still here.

ah, I only got 193 words. 🙁 how about you?
I have to go take care of something for a while, so you two can war until I get back 😉

All right, I’m back. I’ll wait this war out and join when you finish 🙂

@jenwriter17 Sorry, got distracted when I noticed a new Star Trek series had been announced… 😛 So I’ve been texting my brother about that.
How about a ten minute word war?

@seekjustice Sure, sounds good 🙂

I’m going to shower and then I’m coming back to try and force a few words out of my poor sick brain, so maybe when you’ve finished this war I could join you for a second?

@rochellaine Awesome! How long?

I can word war with you now if you want.
@seekjustice Oh, cool! There’s a classic I’ve read that you haven’t read! 😛 I thought the only classics I’d read that you hadn’t were the Mark Twain books. Usually if it’s a classic, you’ve read it and I haven’t. 😉
Yup that’s it. I think I understood most of the poem, but you pro…[Read more]

Actually, I’ve never read Tarzan or seen the movie, so I’ve got no idea.
I read the poem and realised that I have read it before 😉 I’d just forgotten it. It was quite amusing.
Was the parody you mentioned “You are Young, Kaiser Wilhelm”? If so, I just found that in my wanderings and it was also quite amusing 😛

@rochellaine yeah but I like made-up words 😛

@jenwriter17 I think “adulting” is one of the strangest things our generation has come up with. 😛
@seekjustice I saw the Disney Jungle Book movie when I was little, which I know very well is completely different from the book. Unfortunately I’ve not read the book yet. I was about to once, but I forgot or something…maybe I got caught up in a…[Read more]

I loved Rikki Tikki Tavi too, mostly because I wish I had a mongoose to keep the snakes away from my house.
I think I’ve read some of his war poems, but that’s about it. Mostly I just really loved The Jungle Book stories. I read the Just So stories too.
All right, I’ll go look it up 🙂

@seekjustice I haven’t read much of Rudyard Kipling. But I absolutely loved Rikki Tikki Tavi. I actually found him to be quite adorable…which I have a feeling wasn’t the specific purpose of his story… 😛 I’ve read a couple of Kipling’s shorter poems too, such as If. (that is by him, right?) What’s your favorite of his works?
But I don’t th…[Read more]

@rochellaine Okay. 🙂
Oh, a debate…between who? Now I’m registered to vote so I want to keep on top of these things 😉

Well, that’s true. We both share unpopular opinions about Jane Austen. Since we’re talking about authors now, what do you think of Rudyard Kipling?
I’ll put Alice on my neverending list of books to try again. Someday.
Though it seems to me it has failed in its calling if its a children’s book that can’t be enjoyed by children…[Read more]

@jenwriter17 Hello! Sorry, I can’t word war right now. My family is listening to a debate between some candidates for the midterms. I’ll be on later, though.

We can’t seem to agree on anything.
Oh no, that is too large a generalization. In fact, in my last post, I specifically mentioned the fact that I agree with you regarding Jane Austen. 😛 (Did I ever tell you, I once told some ladies I disliked Jane Austen because of all the needless scandals that annoyed me, and they said I’d like th…[Read more]
