Wait, Huntress knows about Narnia?
Trevor
“What kind of job?” Trevor asked Sniper.
The diversion appeared successful, as Emmerich seemed to be recovering from his embarrassment and had reverted back to his usual serious self.
“He sure is a frog-walker, he heaves a big sigh
He only lacks wings for to be on the fly.”Emmerich
The implication (or the implication that he assumed) unsettled Emmerich. He told himself that the only reason he and Rosalind were there was because they were meant to suffer. Rosalind had the greater suffering of having to endure whatever that horrible creature had in mind, and most likely suffered fear. Emmerich, in turn, suffered from the ever-present knowledge that he had failed her.
There was no other reason he and Rosalind should be there. Trevor’s observation was a mere chance of fate. Or at least, that’s what Emmerich told himself.
“Ah, a contemplator of life.” Emmerich’s thoughts ceased the moment Trevor spoke. This boy also unsettled him. “Sorry, I didn’t mean to interrupt. Carry on.”
“There is nothing to apologize for.” Emmerich responded.
“Okay… what were you thinking about?”
Emmerich’s expression hardened, “Nothing of consequence.”
“It sure looked like something of consequence. You were blushing.”
The horror on Emmerich’s face mingled with embarrassment, and he pretended to look at something on the walls.
“Trevor.” Azalea nudged him, “Cut it out, please.”
“I think he was blushing over – I mean, what were you guys doing before you got here!” Trevor’s voice raised at the question and he looked to Huntress and Sniper.
“He sure is a frog-walker, he heaves a big sigh
He only lacks wings for to be on the fly.”Alright!

Just to let you guys know, The Terror uses these questions to figure out the internal struggles of the characters so then he can use that to manipulate them. If you guys want to add to him that’s totally fine, I’m kind of just making stuff up as I go lol, and don’t want to dominate the RP. Sorry if I’ve been doing that.

Rosalind
“The Terror? What – who is that?” Rosalind asked.
The creature closed its eyes, remaining silent.
“Please, tell me what is going on. There are others who have been brought here as well. Why are we all here?” Rosalind waited for any sort of response, but found none.
“You have little patience.”
This new voice was the bitter wind of winter. It froze Rosalind’s heart, and unlike the white creature’s voice, it was strong and piercing, but with a hint of cruel merriment.
The speaker of the voice stood in front of Rosalind. To her surprise, he appeared to be a man clad in trousers, a cloak, and adorned with a hat. His face was covered completely in a sort of mask. The mask depicted nothing and was pitch black.
Rosalind stood up, and as she did she gathered her courage. “Are you The Terror, sir?”
“Who else would I be? Of course I’m him. And you can stop pretending to be brave even though you’re not, you’re not that knight of yours.”
“How do you know about Emmerich?” Rosalind asked, her face coloring slightly.
“Well, as you just said yourself, there’s others who were brought here. I took the liberty of finding them. They’re an interesting bunch of people, the first interesting ones that have been here in a while.”
“There have been others here?”
“Oh yes, plenty of others. They’re all still here.”
“Where?”
“Everywhere. There’s so many of them it’s hard to catch a glimpse of them.”
“What do you mean?”
“That’s enough questions. It’s my turn to ask some things now.” The Terror motioned for Rosalind to sit down again, and Rosalind, as she was not sure what to think, obeyed. The Terror stood motionless in front of her, his hands clasped behind his back.
“You have heard of Twenty Questions? No? Well, I will ask you twenty questions and you will give me a simple ‘yes’ or ‘no’ answer to the question. I may ask less than twenty, though.”
Rosalind glanced at the white creature. Its eyes were still closed.
“Now, my first question: do you have a family?”
It took a long time for Rosalind to respond. Will someone hurt them if I tell him? Rosalind thought. But I cannot lie, that would be immoral.
“Answer the question.” The Terror said, “Don’t try to lie either. I already know the answer.”
“Why ask the question if you know the answer?”
“I said I’m asking the questions, not you. Here is my next one: has this said family failed you in any way?”
When silence was the answer, The Terror stepped closer to Rosalind. “You must answer, or else your precious knight and the others with him will be harmed. I could send my friend to them now, and they would all be done with.”
“My answer is yes.” Rosalind said quickly.
“Good. I always love a threat; it works so much better than negotiation.
Are you continually failed by this family, and by others around you?”
“Yes.”
“And has this restrained your view of others?”
“…yes.”
“Very good, I admire your honesty. I have no other questions to ask you.”
“May I leave now?” Rosalind asked, folding her hands and resting them in her lap.
“If I let you leave, my master wouldn’t have as much fun messing with your colleagues. No, you’ll have to stay here.” The Terror patted the white creature, “Don’t worry, my friend is harmless. At least, to you he will be. I cannot guarantee anything for the others. Goodbye.” With that, The Terror was gone.
“He sure is a frog-walker, he heaves a big sigh
He only lacks wings for to be on the fly.”Azalea
Once Huntress and Sniper voiced their opinions, Emmerich nodded. “We do not have a moment to lose then. I cannot bear to think of Rosalind being with that beast any longer.”
Seeing as none of them had a flashlight, Trevor found a stick and tore off a piece of his shirt. After wrapping it round, he reached into his jacket and found a metal fire starter.
“I didn’t know you carried that with you.” Azalea commented, watching him strike the cloth and set it aflame.
“I didn’t either. But now we have light, so let’s go.” Trevor led the way into the cave. The fire was small and dim but provided enough light to see the path ahead. Faint shadows cast upon the walls followed the five.
“Who’s Rosalind?” Azalea asked Emmerich. “Was she the girl that creature was carrying?”
“Yes, that beast took her.”
“Is she your friend?”
“No.” Emmerich’s tone changed, sounding more serious. “In my country, I promised to protect her and her brother, the king.”
“Wow, that’s amazing.” Azalea said, and she meant it. “You’re like one of the knights from the stories.”
“What are the knights portrayed like in those stories?”
“They’re chivalrous and brave. They’re good-hearted and kind. I always loved those knights, and now I get to meet one in real life.”
Emmerich looked down, unable to meet Azalea’s excited gaze.
“Don’t you guys think it’s odd,” Trevor piped up, “That we all were brought here with only one other person, and that person happens to be the opposite gender?”
“What are you implying?” Emmerich questioned.
“Nothing. It’s just weird, and none of us are related to that person so…” Trevor’s words trailed off, and the idea remained unfinished.

Trevor shook Sniper’s hand, then Huntress’. Azalea did the same.
“So where, exactly, is Earth’s tech level at? Seems like you have varying degrees across the planet if I’m to believe you’re both from there.” Sniper said.
“Well, since Emmerich seems to be a real knight and not some dude who thinks he’s one, I think, somehow, we’ve been brought from different time eras. We’re from the modern era and have more advanced technology.”
“The modern era?” Emmerich repeated, apparently curious. “Do the knights of your time use the type of weapon you have? Or have knights become obsolete?”
“Uh…” Trevor didn’t have the heart to tell him, so instead he responded with, “Your sword is really cool.”
“What were you guys doing here, anyway?” Azalea asked, “Did you see that white creature too?”
“Yes. The cave here,” Emmerich gestured to the opening of it, “Is where it went. We were determining whether or not to follow it or wait for its return. Sniper and Huntress, do you have any input on the decision?”
“He sure is a frog-walker, he heaves a big sigh
He only lacks wings for to be on the fly.”We shall see what it is… (still figuring that out myself lol).
Trevor
Voices sounded from beyond the trees. Trevor tapped Azalea’s shoulder, she turned, and Trevor placed a finger to his lips. He inched forward, placing a hand on the pistol on his hip. A thrill erupted from within him as he peered out. People! And three of them.
“I’ll go out first, and if it’s safe, I’ll tell you.” Trevor whispered to Azalea. He boldly stepped out into the clearing, “Hey!” He took a double take of each person, “There’s a knight, a man with a tail, and a lady with stripes. You’re all from different places, aren’t you?”
“Yes, your question is correct.” The knight replied, one of his own hands clasped around a sword hilt. “You are not a threat, I presume?”
“Unless you guys are a threat, I’m not normally one.” Trevor responded, “I’m Trevor. And my friend Azalea’s hiding behind those trees there.”
At that cue, Azalea emerged from the leaves and smiled, “Hello. Who are you all?”
“My name is Emmerich, knight of Luminere, although you two must not be familiar with my country of Terre. It is on the planet Earth.”
“We have not heard of it, but we come from Earth as well.” Azalea said.
Emmerich seemed surprised, but did not ask further questions.
Trevor turned to the man and woman, “And who would you two be?”

Trevor
Trevor and Azalea walked side by side, tearing into the wall of leaves and branches together. Slashing through the forest was no easy task, especially with mere knives.
“Just like the Amazon, huh?” Trevor remarked, lifting up a branch and letting Azalea walk under it before joining her again.
“Yeah… except I haven’t heard a single animal.”
“I haven’t either. It’s too quiet here.” Trevor stopped, “That’s usually when everything goes wrong.”
“So is something going to go wrong now?” Azalea asked, scanning the forest with uneasiness.
“I don’t know. Maybe. Probably. Uh, actually, definitely.” Trevor shrugged, and the two resumed their trek. “It’s only a matter of time before something happe-”
A rustling sound interrupted Trevor, and all at once a large, white creature crashed through the leaves and raced past him.
“What was that?” Azalea asked. “I think that thing was holding a woman.”
“I couldn’t tell.” Trevor grinned, “But we’re going to find out, right?”
“Of course. That person needs help. I hope she’s alright.”
“Yeah, although a little danger would be nice. I hope she’s in just the right amount of trouble.”
“Trevor!”
“It makes it more interesting.” Trevor realized his words, “That sounded wrong. I think it was wrong. Uh, I meant…”
“Come on.” Azalea said, leading the way as she shook her head.
Nice going, moron. Trevor thought to himself, then chuckled. “Boy, she must think I’m a jerk.” He hurried up to her, and they followed the trail of fallen over trees.
“He sure is a frog-walker, he heaves a big sigh
He only lacks wings for to be on the fly.”No worries, glad you’re back!
Emmerich
The knight nodded, his expression becoming a bit more grim. He had allowed Rosalind to be captured, failing again to protect. “Your guns will work then, if they are powerful enough for this creature.”
Emmerich, Sniper and Huntress followed the path of the beast, and Emmerich all the while prayed Rosalind would be alright.
Rosalind
Shrieking, Rosalind found, would get her nowhere since the others were out of ear shot. She also found it to be incredibly demeaning towards her own dignity, and so waited the rest of her journey out. Her heart hammered in her chest and thoughts raced through her mind all the while.
Twice she caught sight of people. Rosalind let out a call each time, but her voice was drowned out by the beast’s heavy movements.
It didn’t take long for them to arrive at their destination. The creature set Rosalind down, and Rosalind whispered a prayer. The beast was staring at her.
Rosalind steadied her nerves and pushed aside the feelings of dread washing over her. She took in her surroundings: a stone wall reached several feet, and a smooth, dirt ground was beneath her. That was all.
Her eyes found their way back to the beast’s own. Rosalind’s heart dropped. Oh, Lord Jesus, protect me. Give me courage. She crossed herself, expecting some sort of response from the beast, but found none. “You are not a demon, then.” She said aloud, curiosity overcoming her fear for a few seconds.
The creature’s mouth opened and gaped like the entrance to a cave. Rosalind’s fear returned.
“No.” A sighing, sorrow laden voice emanated from the mouth.
“You… have the ability to speak?” Rosalind whispered, her eyes wide and scarcely believing.
“Yes.” The creature dragged out the word, its eyes wincing as if in pain.
“What type of creature are you? Why did take me?”
“You…shall…see. When…The Terror…arrives.”
“He sure is a frog-walker, he heaves a big sigh
He only lacks wings for to be on the fly.”Sorry it’s been nearly a week, I haven’t been the best keeping up with things outside of school recently.
Emmerich
Sniper stopped Emmerich from going after Rosalind. “You saw how fast that thing ran when he decided to attack us. You’ll never catch up with him, mate. We’ll find another way around and cut him off or somethin’.” He said.
Emmerich nodded, feeling slightly annoyed at himself for his outburst of recklessness. He, Sniper and Huntress searched for their weapons then regrouped to discuss their strategy.
“That creature went that way,” Emmerich said, pointing in its direction. “It may be using Rosalind as a means of leading us into a trap. We could split up and surround the creature, although it may move fast enough to discover and capture us all. Do either of you two have anything that could slow the creature down?”

Here’s the ones I think have a chance:1. Hmm, sounds like Pride and Prejudice.
3. Dracula?
4. My best guess is King Lear, although that’s a play and not a book. Still, the ‘Tom Fool’ sounds close to ‘Poor Tom.’
10. Is it Screwtape Letters?
“He sure is a frog-walker, he heaves a big sigh
He only lacks wings for to be on the fly.”Lol. I think I’m gonna go for dangerous.
Emmerich
Emmerich’s grip tightened on his sword’s handle. He moved in front of Rosalind, preparing for any attacks from the creature.
A moment passed in which the creature stared at the group and the group stared back at the creature. In the next moment, the creature moved with a speed its previous motions had not portrayed. It grabbed at Emmerich’s blade with one hand, swiping at Sniper and Huntress’ guns with the other. The weapons flew several feet from the astonished group and fell amongst the leaves littering the ground.
Before they had a moment to respond, the creature grabbed Rosalind and disappeared into the line of trees, Rosalind letting out a yell before her voice died off into the distance.
“He sure is a frog-walker, he heaves a big sigh
He only lacks wings for to be on the fly.”Lol, it’s okay, take as much time as you need.
Rosalind
Sniper and Huntress explained their birth planets, but Rosalind and Emmerich only became more confused. Sniper made the assertion that they were from different galaxies, then said, “But what matters is that we’re ‘ere, now, and neither of us knows where here is. We’re gonna have to find shelter before nightfall.”
“Yes, it appears we must explore this strange place.” Emmerich agreed. “We must proceed with caution though. We do not know what dangers may lurk here.”
The group walked from the sand onto solid grand, where a dense forest lay before them. Rosalind walked behind Emmerich, casting her gaze every now and again among the branches. Little light stabbed through the thick canopy of leaves above, darkening the forest around them.
On one occasion, one of Rosalind’s innocent glances caused her to stop. “Emmerich,” She whispered.
“Is something amiss?” Emmerich asked, pausing in his walk as Sniper and Huntress did the same.
“There is a creature.” Rosalind pointed, and the group looked to see a large, pale creature stalking through the trees. Apparently, it had sighted them as it was now lumbering closer.
