@hallie-jean Feather is a girl; she is sort of tall with blond hair and gray-blue eyes. She wears armor–if you’ve ever seen any Star Wars movies, something like clone/stormtrooper armor but splattered with paint. She wields a rifle.
Rinzler’s a boy. He has dark brown hair and brown eyes. His clothes are black and have light-up orange lines on…[Read more]

Ah, forgiveness and trust together can be quite powerful. Have you ever read the Promise of Zion series by Robert Elmer? It’s centered around the creation of the Israeli State, and those are a couple of the themes.
The map style is based off folklore, each object made up of others (example: a mountain is, if one looks close enough,…[Read more]

@hallie-jean Maybe my characters could meet yours!
Feather and Rinzler
“Did you hear that?” Rinzler had both discs out, wary.
“It’s probably nothing,” Feather reassured him. They were out of the dungeons, wandering through the hallway again. Hesh and Kent were engaged in conversation behind them.
Suddenly, another c…[Read more]

Keilah H. replied to the topic Have you ever written a sad ending to a story? in the forum Topic of the Week 4 years, 3 months ago
Nope. Not yet. Bittersweet ending to an arc, maybe. Tragic and possibly hopeless ending, no. I’m really not that kind of person. I’ll give a character a sad death, let’s say, but not necessarily one without meaning. The tragic stories I do have end with the character surviving, or getting another chance, etc.

I’m sorry this has been so late, but I’ve been preparing for a Bible Quiz Tournament tomorrow, which actually means I probably won’t be back on here much till after the weekend.

Well, I thought it was.
The lead up to the civil war and through till after the reconstruction, but it was less focused on the war and more how it affected the Jewish, Celtic, and Native American populations of the area. It wasn’t a pro north or south book, but simply a story of two families and a war.

At least I have my series practically plotted out. *Sigh* Agreed!
Oh dear! I’m not sure…perhaps either, that we always have a choice to do good or evil no matter if there seems to be no choice left or we have already made wrong ones, OR, even in the darkest places there is yet hope because we belong to another Kingdom.
What about…[Read more]

Hi there! I Koshka, or at least that’s me around here (It’s actually a warped form of a nick name, but anyway…). I’m a bit of a historical clothing/random history nerd, among other things of course.
I loved Wingfeather(!!!) and grew up with American girl.
I’ve read such a mixture of genres I’m not sure what’s my…[Read more]

Hello, and welcome to the kingdom! I am Koshka, or at least that’s me around here. I have been writing (as in, writing not related to homeschool) for…I don’t know…five years?
Hmm, I definitely write in genre, fantasy and historical fiction to be exact. Characters are also my biggest focus, though plot is definitely important to…[Read more]

Oh hello there, nice to ‘formally’ meet you! I am Koshka around here, I would rather not have a dog, and I’m sort of learning violin (that’s currently on hold as I wait for a new instrument).
Swords? They can certainly be beautiful weapons, but I prefer archery (particularly traditional Turkish horse, although I don’t have a…[Read more]

Here goes!
Zlatan
He flinched at the force of the slap on his shoulder, then sighed. His brother was being his typical friendly self, reminding Zlatan that these were possible allies.
The lad looked to each of the group as they were introduced, then back at the brothers, dark eyes searching.
So this is who…[Read more]

Vulkasin and Zlatan
She had closed the door behind her, not exactly how someone would react to a guard. Unless she was trying to cover for them.
Why would she do that?Vulkasin frowned. He didn’t need anyone to cover for him.
November suddenly spoke. “You’re sure?” he appeared to have been addressing the fox…[Read more]

Kent sat up. His head felt like someone had hit it a couple time with a iron pan then gave it s good kick for good Luke. What had he been dreaming about? Birds making a garden on a roof? A blinding light flashed in his eyes “Ow! What it is that?” Kent covered his face.
“Sorry” Came Feathers voice, and the light moved to…[Read more]

I did once start on a historical fiction novel which was to be set near where I live, but I put it aside for my current WIP.
Come to think of it, I only ever started two stories in our world, one of which was an early attempt at writing which I shall NEVER pick up again.

Feather and Rinzler
Feather awoke to darkness.
After a few minutes, her eyes adjusted to the dark to see Rinzler beside her, his lights glowing dimly. He sat up, and they flared a little brighter. Kent and Hesh were lying in the other corner, just waking up.
“Where are we?” Rinzler asked.
“Don’t know.” Feather replied.…[Read more]
