@emily-sf Milla sounds like a hypersense! They’re a species my brother created that are just like humans, but have super-enhanced senses. I don’t think they have radar, but they do have everything else. Also, they aren’t typically blind. But she sounds like she could be one!

Feather and Rinzler
“You need food?” Feather asked. “I sorta ran out of rations quite a bit ago, but there’s bound to be a kitchen somewhere.”
“I see you eyeing my discs. Don’t touch them unless you want one to your throat.” Rinzler hissed.
Hesh and Kent stood off to the side, watching.
“Rinzler!” Feather…[Read more]

Those look awesome (though I have absolutely no idea what the Council of Bust is)!
I found a song for Mitchel! And I think I’m changing his name to Mikkel, and his sister may not be the other MC of this book, but that book is the last in the series, so I still have plenty of time to figure them out. XD
Anyway, his song…[Read more]

I’m popping back on here to clarify; I was thinking of later in these characters lives. Like, they become close friends during the series, and sometime later, when Paxton is older, the marriage idea enters the horizon.
And I’m someone who has avoided any sort of romance in my book’s, as I wanted Christian literature without twitter-pated…[Read more]

Hi!! I’m back, but warning now, I may have to disappear again in the somewhat near future.
Zlatan and Vulkasin
The corridor was dark, the small oil lamp bright in his hand. Shadows swayed to it’s flickering flame.
Which way led to the brother and sister?
“Nyx,” Zlatan turned to the little fox. He…[Read more]

@emilysf Really cool! Yeah, Feather’s story is a little like that. I created her and her sisters without knowing what to do with them, then realized they fit perfectly into the Star Wars universe right about the time of The Bad Batch (if you’ve seen that show). She’s the main antagonist’s sorta girlfriend (at least before he turned evil anyway).…[Read more]

Keilah H. replied to the topic If Hollywood adapted your novel… in the forum General Writing Discussions 4 years, 3 months ago
@valtmy Even though 99% of what I write is fanfiction anyway, I would not want the film industry  to adapt any of my stories without me in charge. They’d probably make all my fantasy stuff weird and dark. I would love seeing my Rexy picture books as a kids’ TV miniseries, but I’d probably create it and direct it and everything. I would NOT leave…[Read more]

Rinzler
“The ‘Dark Player?’” Rinzler eyed the kid dubiously. They looked to be close in age, but that didn’t mean he trusted him. If anything, he trusted him even less than he trusted Hesh or Kent. “With a name like that, if I hadn’t already realized you’re completely foreign, I would’ve thought you were from m…[Read more]

@godlyfantasy12 This is an interesting conversation. I will admit that I kinda agree with @kathleenramm . Having a 20 year old female and a 16-17 year old male who are in a romantic relationship is kinda weird (Though, Shakespeare at the age of 18 married a 26 year old). I could understand if the ages were swapped That would still be very young…[Read more]

At first I thought,”Romance, over described battles, messed up characters…”
Then I remembered my book’s cultures.
The first books MCs’ father would be shown as a bloodthirsty military captian, their mother a brutal taskmaster. The fact that this kingdom has a female home-guard would immediately warp into some feminist program. In…[Read more]

Well, I only have one moon, but it’s not exactly like ours, at least not for this far north Kingdom, and is a huge part of their culture. On the first full moon of the frozen months, she turns blood red (when she’s called Warrior), and the first full moon of warm weather she’s gold (Conqueror). These moons mark the two ‘seasons’ of…[Read more]

That is sweet and good. I’m enjoying hearing about their story.
Oh, Paxton, Luna. I feel so sorry for you. Your author needs to give you both a big hug. (Pretends my charies have no trauma)

Feather and Rinzler
“Well, you’re a persistent one, aren’t you, love?” The new character smirked.
Feather wasn’t quite sure what to say to that. Rinzler growled audibly.
“All right. I’ll give you a deal. I’ll tell you my name…. if you can tell me where I am.” said the new character.
Feather looked around.…[Read more]

@hallie-jean Yep, the Tron series is a little-known story, but I love it (actually listening to the soundtrack right now). Rinzler as I have him doesn’t actually appear or exist–as far as I can tell, anyway–in the original movies, but the name “Rinzler” was once another alias for his father, Tron. So my brother (who works on the stories with m…[Read more]

@godlyfantasy12 Age gap of four years? Not a problem. My parents are six years apart. The pairs in my stories tend to be mostly around the same age, but as long as they’re not like, an old character paired off with a teenager, I think it’s fine.

Keilah H. replied to the topic Character Castle! in the forum General Writing Discussions 4 years, 3 months ago
@hallie-jean Funny story….Rinzler and Feather were both created for fanfictions. Rinzler came from a fanfic written for a series called Tron; he happens to be the son of the titular character. And Feather is actually supposed to be from the Star Wars universe. She and her four sisters were trained in the Republic’s army (three of them, including…[Read more]

That actually sounds really fun! And as for the age gap, that isn’t a problem. My Grandmother is older than my Grandfather, and there’s a nine year gap between my parents, but seriously, age gaps aren’t a real problem (obviously if God intended), some people simply need someone older/younger than them.
And I love the idea of an…[Read more]

“Well,” said Feather, “that was rude.”
“Hmmph,” came Rinzler’s voice. He was still looking in the character’s direction.
“Don’t hurt him, Rinzler.” Feather told him. “That’ll make him even less likely to trust us.” She walked up to the character and stood in his line of sight. “My name’s…[Read more]
