“That’s my point!” she took a deep breath.  “I’m more likely to freeze up and get all of us killed than actually be able to protect myself. It would actually be more useful if you killed me right now, than if I tried to learn how to use a sword.” she pursed her lips and fixed her gaze on the swirling patterns on the floor.

Zahlin

“I don’t need to be told to behave.” Zahlin said, “I’ve trained people before. I know what I’m doing.”

“If I wanted to ‘get rid of you’ I’d send you somewhere far more permanent.” Zahlin said coldly, “I don’t like you any more than you like me, but we’re stuck with each other until we can get out of this place so please,” He glared at Ellis. “Don’t antagonize me.”

Ellis told Fennin what his decision was and he told Zahlin that he was going to train Hedieh. He hasn’t mentioned it to anyone else yet.
