Hehe okay @That_Writer_Girl_99.
I just noticed the time, and realised I need to scoot off now sorry. Good luck writing! -

@That_Writer_Girl_99 yeah, I like the movies, but they have absolutely nothing on the books. I’d really recommend you read them. I won’t say they’re perfect but since I’m a writer I don’t think I’ll ever find a perfect book and those come pretty close.

Ooh lucky her. 😛 -

Yes. That. XD It’s kind of nerve-wracking having people going through my story though. But they’re nice peoples so they’re being good. @That_Writer_Girl_99

@That_Writer_Girl_99 weeell, some friends are going through a short story of mine and I’m working out some of the ways to fix the stuff they’re pointing out.

@That_Writer_Girl_99 I’m sort of editing.

Okay, so I’m only, like, what– five months late? How did I miss this thread?
I liked Rogue One. A lot. One of my friends spoiled it for me though by telling me “Everybody dies” before I watched it (this is the same friend who told me that you-know-who kicks the bucket in Episode VII– both spoilers by complete accident). It helped me emotionally…[Read more] -

Is anyone still writing? I’m going to for about an hour or so… @audrey-caylin, @dragon-snapper, @winter-rose, @that_writer_girl_99

@audrey-caylin @that_writer_girl_99 Actually, it’s already finished. You could say I’m editing the first draft. It stands at about 83,000 words, though I have major tweaking to do, because like you, Audrey, I have to incorporate some Christian themes into this thing, making it partway analogy. That has to be hardest part of this book. 😛

@that_writer_girl_99 I think it’s like my fifth draft or something. I’m incorporating beta reader feedback, and hoping this will be one of the final drafts. I’m trying K.M. Weiland’s outlining method, which is working really well.
I know the feeling 😛 It’s great to get those scenes down, then tweak them. As the saying goes, you can’t edit it if…[Read more]

@winter-rose @that_writer_girl_99 *waves* what are you guys working on? I’m finally finished with my extended outline and have started to make a list of scenes for when I finally start writing this next draft.

@that_writer_girl_99 *looks at you suspiciously* Do you not like fried chicken?

@that_writer_girl_99 Dragons like to eat fried chicken. Dragons like to eat ice cream. Dragons love to have fried chicken and ice cream in the same day.

@That_Writer_Girl_99 that is a GREAT midpoint. So right now what you’re looking for seems to be a first plot point— where Kara commits to action. What about Blake? Was he taken in the fight with the Catastrophes? Or did he use it as a distraction to infiltrate the prison and get caught or something? If that’s the case Matthias could have gotten…[Read more]

@That_Writer_Girl_99 perhaps you should try mapping out Kara’s arc in detail and going from there?
