@that_writer_girl_99 Yes!! Exactly! It doesn’t help that I am constantly changing the way certain names are spelled.

@that_writer_girl_99 YESSS!! That’s the annoying part of it. It was just to appease everyone. I love the Kane Chrinicles too, but I haven’t had the chance to read those cross over stories. They sound like a ton of fun! I love it when characters from other parts of a story world run into each other.

@That_Writer_Girl_99 Got it. The early stages of planning can be my favorite part of writing a novel at times, so that’s a great stage to be in!
If you’re looking for more resources on this topic, one of our writing team members wrote a good article about how to outline a novel a couple months ago that you may find helpful:…[Read more]

@That_Writer_Girl_99 Yeah, Nico has definitely lowered my opinion of the last two series, and I think the first ones about Percy were lots of fun. I think my favorite was Battle of the Labyrinth, but I also really liked the Titan’s Curse. You?

@Jess I completely agree on your view of the Percy Jackson books.
@that_writer_Girl_99, welcome! Hope you enjoy your time in the bestiest place in the kingdom! *bows and takes her leave*

@that_writer_girl_99 Hi! (I’m late. I have a knack for that.) You like Percy Jackson? I loved the first series, but the Hero’s of Olympus wasn’t that great in my opinion. Have you read the Kane Chronicles? Hope to see you around the forum! 🙂 *disappears in cloud of glitter*

@that_writer_girl_99 I’m jealous now. 😉 Nice catch! Neat story idea there too. How far along are you in the planning process?

@That_Writer_Girl_99 *rushes in panting and collapses on the floor* wow I am so late. WELCOME TO KP. They’ve already asked all the questions, but welcome nonetheless, and I look forward to seeing you around. 😀

@That_Writer_Girl_99 Welcome! I’m a bit late, but I’ll hop in all the same. 🙂 I love Marvel movies too! Though I’ve never read any of the comics. Cap used to be my favorite, but tbh, the recent movies have made me think that he’s not progressing much as a character. Also, I’m a sucker for the characters that make me laugh, so I’d have to say that…[Read more]

@That_Writer_Girl_99 Hmmm…I don’t know how much of what I’ve read is technically considered ‘Christian fiction’. The Screwtape Letters and Till We Have Faces by C.S. Lewis—those might be considered Christian fiction. They are Christian and they are fiction at any rate. Several books by Douglas Bond, and the Viking Quest Series by Lois Walfrid…[Read more]

@that_writer_girl_99 Ok, well long answers are good answers, so here we go.
It starts for me with knowing my ending. The ending is normally the first or second thing I get down when planning a book. It’s the most important part of the story from a plotting perspective and it gives me a lot of guidance in planning out the rest of my story, just…[Read more]

@that_writer_girl_99 Yeah, I second what @Emma-Flournoy says about Luke. He calmed down some of his whininess in the second two, but he was just never…wow for me. But I know what you mean about being able to overlook poor acting after a while. I hardly notice it in Anakin anymore because that just seems to be who he is. (Mind you, I’m referring…[Read more]

@that_writer_girl_99 Welcome, welcome, and thrice again, welcome! I’m the local elf, so if I ever accidentally dissolve into glitter or creepy poetry, just give me a poke, and I’ll snap out of it. 😉
Ooh, you got to meet Wayne Thomas Batson? How fun! My cousin met him once at a library book signing (’cause he only lives about an hour away from…[Read more]

Welcome to the site @that_writer_girl_99! Have you read Batson’s Sword in the Stars series? That’s my favorite series he’s done and, in my opinion, probably one of the best works of Christian fantasy out there. What type of science-fiction do you like to write?

Daeus replied to the topic Hello All! in the forum Start HERE 9 years, 1 month ago
@that_writer_girl_99 Sure, so is the question how to plot, or something else?
