@sam-kowal Here’s the Blue Hair poem you asked for…
(I really hope you’ve read The Cat in The Hat because if you haven’t this will not make any sense!)
Thing One’s Lament
Oh, what a tragedy it is
To have brown hair,
When all the time you know it should
Be blue that’s there!
My hair was once a lovely shade
Of bright, bright blue
But now it’s…[Read more] -

@dekreel 😀 😀 Thanks! I had no idea you would like it that much. XD It was fun to write. Stan and Meeple are fun characters
@rochellaine 😀 Oh, I was thinking of putting a nice tragic ending in. But something stopped me at that last minute and I let them live pretty much happily ever after
@supermonkey42 😀 Wow. Stan will be ecstatic over that…[Read more]

@sam-kowal I agree with @supermonkey42. Right up there with Chaucer, too! He wrote adventure poems…

@supermonkey42 Can’t remember exactly. It was either lack of involvement or I didn’t have enough time.

@supermonkey42 Changing from third person to first person in the middle of a story is not the same as changing the name of one of your characters. That means MAJOR editing work! 😀 You’ve seriously done that?
I have written from several secondary male characters POVs, but never had one as the main character yet. I’m going to have to learn how…[Read more]

@supermonkey42 I wrote a book like that once. It was supposed to be a time travel story, but focusing on the different cultures of the time periods, rather than the science of time travel. The time travel element ended up taking over the book more than I intended…so it’s technically sci-fi now. 😀 But I set the contemporary parts in 202…[Read more]

@supermonkey42 Cool! What genre?
I’m doing a his-fic short story I’ve had started for a while, but got discouraged from when I lost about a thousand words. I was listening to a song today that reminded me of it, so I decided to try again. 🙂

@ashlyvye Besides Brandon Sanderson, other fantasy and classics, mostly- Harry Potter, The Inheritance Cycle, Ashtown Burials by ND Wilson, Lord of the Rings, Narnia, The Prydain Chronicles, etc
I’ve also read a lot of older books for school, Like A Tale of Two Cities, Beowulf, Jane Eyre, etc.😀 Other than of course Sanderson, what about…[Read more]

@supermonkey42 Thank you! My mom thought my profile pic was that of a ghoul or something. Yes, it’s Vin. 🙂
Believe me, the conclusion to Mistborn is satisfying yet…. sad. I love the ending, don’t get me wrong, but it made me cry.

@supermonkey42 Yikes, I’m a bit late. Sorry! It was a crazy week last week.
Well, I’ll try, although I’m terrible at poetry. Like, really bad. It’s sad.

@rochellaine Oh, yeah. 😛
I didn’t think so, which is why I stopped at four verses. But now I want to try – it just may take longer.
Hole, thread, cut, sharpen, stone, water, well… Oh, I know, it gets too late to go to the well, so you have to sleep. With what shall I sleep with? With a blanket! There’s a hole in my blanket! XD

Rochellaine replied to the topic Comic Poem Tag Experiment in the forum Poetry 6 years, 9 months ago
@supermonkey42 WOW! That is so cool. And funny. 😀 Third time’s the charm, huh? And the right to blankets without holes should definitely be Constitutional. 😀 😀
I really liked the unconventionality of the way you skipped the end of the last line of the first stanza and went into a separate ramble. It made it very interesting.

Hi, everyone! I’m not sure how this will work out, but @dekreel ‘s Haiku topic worked awhile back, so I’ll give this a go.
You all remember when there was a Show; don’t tell tag topic? Well, I’m going to make a comic poem tag here. We’ll pick a subject, and tag someone to write a poem on it. As an example of what I mean, KP mag sent out a hil…[Read more]
