Lucille
Lucy snorted. “I’m a country bird, not a city bird. These aren’t very discerning ducks.”
After another long pause, and after she felt confident enough to meet the younger girl in the eye, Lucy got up. She wiped her nose again and began spinning slowly in place to see everywhere. “Have y’seen a fellow, sort of physically l…[Read more]

I second the character who has some sort of mask up X person who sees straight through them one. I love those.
Others:
Very Serious Important Character who does Very Serious Important things as part of their Very Serious Important Job, X Goofball who wants to befriend them. (I have a a few couples like that, and the dynamic is…[Read more]

Read Woodhouse.
I do not know what that is
I like several of those. Also the Peanut Butter and Jelly cracks me up because that’s pretty much every influential couple in my life.
-Character who always has some kind of mask up X the person who always sees straight through them
-Loud, small, fearless, chaos…

Cool! Those don’t seem too specific to your characters so I can choose what works.
“Why do I miss him so much?” and when she came back, guilty, he was like “Weird, I felt the same way!”
This fits the situation I’m writing. Could work as a plot device for something. *Snatches it*

I’ll tag some of the recently active people to see i…[Read more]

Hey anyone, I need interesting romantic couple ideas/tropes! I’m writing something that features a bunch of couples for plot reasons (almost every character interaction takes place in a group because of the setting), and I want to have as many interesting dynamics as possible, but my brain’s not working right now.
It’s supposed to be a very fanci…[Read more]

Heeeyyy, don’t look at me like that
I just had very saucy tomato and cheese pizza, and I’m still hungry, so it was the first thing on my mind. So there

Lucille
“I can try making it but I’m better at dove noises. City ducks make rough noises and they’re always tryin’ to talk over each other, so they get loud. L-Listen.”
Lucy pointed at one of the ducks. When it quacked, she made a similar sound, but scratchier and sharper. She was instantly aware of how weird she seemed, but tried to…[Read more]

Lucille
Lucy smiled. The smile vanished as quickly as it had come. She took in a sharp double breath, almost sobbing, and wiped her face with her sleeve. “Did you know you can tell the difference between a city duck and a country duck ‘cause they… they have accents?”

Thanks for the replies! I will read them to my brother. And I find the answers quite interesting myself. Sometimes it’s funny to try answering the question and realizing a character is disabled without ever thinking about it before.

Hi! *Waves* I remember you and I remember liking you. Not much is kickin. Unless you count roleplaying, which is a lot of fun.
What have you been up to? You had really cool art last time I checked and you could totally post some.

Ahh! What is wrong with you night time people. 🤣
Nighttime people seem to be preoccupied with thoughts of sandwiches. As a nighttime person, I can relate.

Lucille
“I’m Lucille Dali. I came from…” Lucy sat up, sighing when there was nothing but plain mist-dusted hedges around her. “I was pulled. Sorta fell sideways.”
The shock still shook in her bones. The wall, when it collapsed, must have turned into a kind of portal, like what astronomy magazines taught about the death of stars. The…[Read more]
