“May you please explain that? Are you quiet? Dangerous? Do you often solve mysteries? Or start them? And does this relate to how you are a thief?

It means no one knows anything about me.

“Oh…. Those are some…. awful descriptions! Uhm…. do you have any friends? And do you know why people call you that? Maybe you should try putti…

Celarent: Given my criminal background, I find it unlikely that even my good look and charm [he smiles] will be enough to get me elected to Council in a few years when I’m old enough to run. If I can buy off a few people, or bribe leading politicians to endorse me, my chances of winning are much higher.

Alas, almost no one spreads exciting rumors about me, but my brother once told his friends that I’d tried to burn the house down, which is mostly untrue. I didn’t try to, and almost nothing burned. I’ve heard that the girl down the street’s parents may be associated with an evil plot against America, but that was from my grandma, and she…[Read more]

I am usually awoken by a maid around 7. I am dressed and my hair is done. Then I am escorted to the dining hall. After breakfast, quite formal usually, I have schooling. My first subject is math.

[Vyette thinks for a minute]  Important decisions? My father will not even allow me to marry the man whom I want. I am not sure which man…[Read more]

By the way @peoples, do you all baptize infants? Why or why not?

@power

Basically, everything @whalekeeper said. XD

If someone walked into a room and shouted fire, I could say I believe them all I want to, but if I have faith in what they are saying, I will actually get out of the building.

What if you believe them, but the door jams and you can’t access a window? Sometimes baptism is not possible, and to say…[Read more]

I filled it out! I’m a sheltered homeschooler with no phone, so I’m definitely not average here. XD

The theif on the cross didn’t need to be baptized. Even in modern day, we don’t convict someone for things that where done before a law was passed.

I’m… prrreeEtty dArn certain Jesus’ words on that cross are still relevant today.

Jesus’ disciples taught, and we listen to them, but they were originally taught by Jesus. I trust in His cho…[Read more]

In fact, I think 1 Peter 3:21 perfectly juxtaposes the physical and spiritual aspects of this topic

Plus, given God emphasizes our inability to save ourselves with deeds in the physical ream, it would be kinda weird for him to say “focus on Jesus alone, and your spirit will be saved” and then say “mkay but you have to get physically baptized or else you’re in trouble.” I believe in baptism as part of the salvation process, but I think the giving…[Read more]

Sorry for butting in, just found the passage because I was discussing this same topic with a friend, and here it is. This is the ESV.

Luke 23:32-33. Two others, who were criminals, were led away to be put to death with him. And when they came to the place that is called The Skull, there they crucified him, and the criminals, one on his…

Baptism is necessary if it is available. The thief on the cross was not baptized, and was yet saved. Miscarried children are unbaptized, and yet they are saved. So yes, to become a Christian, one should be baptized, but a believer who was unable to be baptized wouldn’t go to Hell. I don’t think God would send a devout believer to Hell…[Read more]

@power

Wait, do you believe baptism is necessary to enter Heaven?

@hybridlore

i won’t be able to make it this time around 😭

@hybridlore

I hope to make it, but I’ll likely be late. Also, my brother is threatening to come in and shout weird/embarrassing stuff, and throw things, so just be warned. *sigh* I can’t wait till he has a video call.
