“Io non ho bisogno di denaro.
Ho bisogno di sentimenti.”It’s a verse from an Italian poem I’ve forgotten the name of. It translates pretty much to “I don’t need money. I need feelings.”

(also, how come humans aren’t a little more upset that lyens seem to think they’re the dominant species? Is there a human-centric country or are they just all over without a specific homeland?)
Hmmm that’s interesting. You’d think they’d be at least a little bit upset, if they’re at all like humans in our world. We really like being in…[Read more]

Looks interesting! I’ll have to see where I can watch it.
I am a LOTR nerd and have all the back stories and sketchbooks and Tolkien notes, etc. So seeing this story done in film and having it true to the book was amazing!!! Peter Jackson just redeemed himself after what he did with LOTR itself in leaving out so many things…

I didn’t realize that Alan being forced to use magic was similar to the gorbs forcing Aaron and Oliver Wilson to become wizards until I was writing on this chapter. So I had to come up with a reason on the spot to explain why Oliver was helping Cyrus. Did his reasons for walking away from Alan make sense?
The way I looked at it w…[Read more]

Hmmmm the challenge which all of us Christian writers face…writing good scenes where the characters pray.
I’m not going to pretend to be good at this.
However, I do have a couple things to point out. Firstly, I noticed that you like to write down the entire prayer in italics like the character’s thoughts. Now, this…[Read more]

Come ON.
*ushers my little sister in to do her cute face*Â please don’t kill Charles?
Being a writer, I know you’ll probably kill him.I’m curious about the Australia story.
And yes. Italian food is AMAZING. My family has recipes that have been passed down for generations.

I mean for me it’s a very case-by-case thing. Like if a woman took an important mission with a bunch of men, knowing she’s the weak link, and potentially putting their lives at greater risk, then that’s wrong. Whereas if she’s the most capable in a scenario, yeah, I’m putting my trust in her and not in an inexperienced leader.…

@ellette-giselle @whalekeeper @keilah-h @whoever else was talking about this
I asked the question of what my family thought about women in combat around the dinner table tonight. There were a lot of things brought up that I hadn’t even thought of. Here are some of the insights from my parents:
- It’s not fair to the other side to have women on…

honestly I think something like that actually exactly what @stephie was going for. The guy either doesn’t know any better or is something of a coward, and the girl is forced to lead because of it.
Off topic: I wonder if I’ll get an email if I tag myself. @stephie

Often what I’ve observed is that guys who grow up without a father figure tend to take on more of the qualities of a woman because that’s all they know. This isn’t always a bad thing, but it can mean that they don’t always know how to step into the role of man the way God intended.
THIS.
Like I said, I’m doing a sort of redempt…[Read more]

Well, not only have I written my last five snowballs, I wrote about 2 000 words.
*chuckles*
And I killed off one of my beloved characters.
*cries heart out*
Anyways, now I have 10 snowballs.
I also really want another chapter from Linus.
