That’s been a hard on for me. I tend to stick with Mother or Father, or Mom and Dad…basically whatever the MC uses. If it was a separate scene with just the parents, I normally use their first names.

Well for me, I read fast. Way too fast! I end up thinking I’ve read everything in the book and then I reread it and find a part that I didn’t know was in there.
