@daeus Ah, it’s fine. Sarcasm is found in many forms, (as everyone who’s read Ranger’ Apprentice knows: thanks Halt) No need to explain. (dragons understand people quite well, actually) 😉

@ingridrd Noooooo… :'( We will miss your presence. Hopefully you’ll be able to catch the replay!
@winter-rose If that happens, we will most certainly have no trouble coming up with story ideas for NaNoWriMo. 😉 Looking forward to having you there!

@Kate-Flournoy Well, twue. Yeah. Twue. But I still like the relationships.

@Emma-Flournoy well yeah, but Kili as a character could have been better done even without the Tauriel fiasco. :/

@Anne-of-Lothlorien I haven’t either. Is it good even though he died?
But guys, even though they ruined Kili in the movie with Tauriel, they did deepen his relationship with Thorin and Fili and Bilbo!! Doesn’t that count for something? I love that aspect, even though it wasn’t in the book. Doesn’t anyone else think so?

@Dragon-Snapper I think @Daeus meant it as a reference to that song. 🙂
@Anne-of-Lothlorien, I think that would be a really good one, with “I’ll Fly Away” being the song the boy sings.

Yep, British period dramas (but not Pride and Prejudice and the Zombies. 😀 ) Have you seen any? I’d definitely recommend North and South, though if you’re a sci-fi geek that might not be your sort of thing. 😛
Yeah, you’re right; I shouldn’t have lumped characters and dialogue into completely separate categories. Dialogue does come…[Read more] -

I’ll Fly Away sounds like the song…anyone know what I’m talking about? 🙂

@anne-of-lothlorien Nope, never watched it.
I agree with you about Kili, @kate-flournoy. Ugh… -
Kate Flournoy replied to the topic I Need a Title in the forum Short Story Critiques 9 years, 10 months ago
@Anne-of-Lothlorien hm… ‘Out of the Mouths of Children’? Okay, that may be a little long and a little obvious… 😛
I really like @Daeus‘s ‘I’ll Fly Away’.
Aaaaaand I’m drawing a blank. I’ll let you know if I think of anything else though.

I thought of Song of the Savior right away, @dragon-snapper. I like that one best, @anne-of-lothlorien. Something else like Song of Salvation could work nicely too. This sounds like a beautiful story!

@Anne-of-Lothlorien no, I haven’t. And please don’t remind me of Kili… *groans* I like him much better in the book. 😛
SO, I offer you sympathy. *offers sympathy on a silver platter* But I really can’t relate. XD

@R-E-P sure, no problem. I work best with examples too. 😉
So take this first paragraph: The wind whistled through the crenelations on the castle wall. To Carl, it was a common place sound and he was not consciously aware of it. Regardless, it made a fitting backdrop for his boyish imagination as he planned a strategic mission against the wily…[Read more] -

@sarah-h: I’ve been doing some site changes over the past couple weeks, but don’t think I did anything that would have impacted the emoji size. :/ They seem to be showing up normally for me as well. I second what @dragon-snapper said about this possibly being a zoom issue!

@kate-flournoy I love Little Dorrit, and most of the other Dickens movie/mini series out there.
@sarah-h I’v heard of I am not Ashamed and it looks really good though I’ve not seen it yet.
I really want to see Priceless too.
And The Great Escape and The Imitation Game are really good. I didn’t care for Unbroken as much, but that was because…[Read more]
