Take three minor characters in your story and briefly sketch out what their experiments in living are going to be and how they’re going to be related to the story’s theme.

Choose two of the three different ways of connecting major characters to protagonists and compare and contrast these two ways. What unique strengths does each way have when compared to the other?

Take one major character who’s neither the protagonist nor the villain and figure out how that character relates to your story’s theme. Develop a character arc for them and determine which of the three paths they’re going to follow and how that path will best complement your story’s theme.

Choose your favorite villain in literature and examine why he’s such a good villain. Which of the three roles does he represent with regards to that story’s hero? And how does he seem to inwardly justify himself? Post your results here!
