I love that idea! My brothers and I are a little older now and our schedules look different, so we’re not always home every night, but on the nights when we do have the whole family around the table, I value those conversations. I think we would really benefit from being more intentional in talking about our days and what’s going on in…[Read more]

Great first section! You did a good job of establishing the stakes and the characters’ situations. One thought I had (for you to consider) is possibly to remove the first journal entry and start off the book with Leon. It might be a stronger beginning… but it works great with the journal entry there too.
Remind me again, who is…[Read more]

Oh, haha. XD. Yeah, I think we talked about it briefly right when you were first starting it.
Leon and Julian, from the last book. (Plus Albee and Ian, but I don’t think they’re coming back . . . unless they do. That would be cool.) I have a lot of other favorites, but they’re not in the Empire, so I doubt they’ll have much of a…[Read more]

The main character is incredibly bland, but also the most unique person in the universe. Typically I’ve noticed female protagonists are like this, and they’re usually super insecure about their looks but are actually pretty. Additionally, the protagonist has some special ability that makes them stand out and is caught up in a love tri…

6)Prepare for major fallout to begin from the Prince dying in the last book.
*nods happily*2)Nearly everyone we love will get hurt.
why would you ever think that?! 😢🤣
Mostly this.

Oh, cool! You told me a vague idea of what the story was about . . . and I’ve read a scene or two that you posted on here. It got eaten by your zombie computer, right? I guess you were able to finish it?
Oh, just reading other people’s guesses and your responses to them. Plus your trigger warning at the beginning (I already knew…[Read more]

Yes, I can see how that would be hard. XD The sequel to the Crimson Rose?
Oh boy. It looks like we’re in for . . . something. I’m starting to be concerned for your characters.

I know! Who’s wearing it now!? Or is it just a throwback to Dietrich’s death and place in the story?
Uhh… there will be gladiator fighting. I feel like Leon is going to get pulled into that again. Maybe Julian too. And I might be seeing a prison cell on the bottom left… unless that’s something else.

If your outside social group is healthy and available, you’re less likely to get attached to the online social group. It’s as simple as that. I believe many phone addictions are a response to that need.
That is truth right there… the lack of healthy community can very easily lead to any type of addiction. I was reading a book abo…[Read more]
