Well, I’m not totally sure why they hate the Paynes *yet* but I had an idea that the Paynes represent Isrealites/Jews, God’s chosen people. Also, people tend to judge others based on their looks, and since the Paynes often are deformed, they see them as ugly/inferior, etc.

though this is an allegory, I’m inventing stuff too. I’m using the Bible for “inspiration” and for some of the storyline, but I’m also implementing biblical truths as well. So yes, the part with Kratos is invented.

Paynes are half breeds between human and Andromedan. They are often deformed, and they are treated with prejudice by the other Andromedans, causing a lot of poverty because they are treated like dirt. It’s really sad 🙁

That sounds like a good idea, and tbh I think a lot of people have ptsd after war, so it makes since. Does he also have nightmares?

Also, just curious, what is the premise for book 2? Like how is his ptsd going to tie into the plot and be resolved (if ever, if that’s a spoiler that ok)
