Ooo, Millie and Gideon are my favorite characters, too, and Adam’s close behind XD My favorite song has to be Sobbin’ Women because of how hilarious it is. What’s your favorite song?

AHHHHHH @seekjustice I just finished part 3 AND I”M SO SCARED

Justice finally (with Chessy *cough cough*) But then she doesn’t even know and I know what happens and A Tale of Two Cities but I’m still so SCARED how do you do this?!

AHHHH And Zac! I didn’t really like him in the beginning to be honest but my thoughts about him have kind of progressed the way they did about Sydney and now he’s my poor baby. *cries*

The Caelans are freaking me out right now. I didn’t realize about the paintings until Chessy talked to Theresa and then I was screaming. That was such a clever change though! Theresa is so creepy O_O

@seekjustice I’m so sorry, but this week has been really busy and I haven’t been able to read the rest of Stars Fill Infinity yet! 🙁 I have a long train ride tomorrow though, so I hope I’ll be able to catch up then 🙂

                Ooo, interesting topic, @dekreel.
I want to expand a bit on something @notawriter said – often bullying comes from family life. I know this firsthand; I know many small children who are bullies in some way. They usually act differently around adults, or at church, if they go. But family problems is a huge thing, especially if it is the father (and in my context, it’s usually the father). These kids grow up in families in which the father/both parents don’t care about each other or their kids as they should. Sometimes one or both drink or gamble. But when these kids grow up in such an environment, their father figure acting as a father should not act, and if they don’t have outside influence to help them along a better path, there’s a good chance they’ll do that to others: their siblings, kids at school, animals… Bullying may not just be a way to deal with all the pain, though that certainly usually is part of it; it can also be the go to: that’s what they know to do, and it’s simply tragic.

Also, it doesn’t have to be just clear family issues. If the family a kid comes from looks down on others, or a certain type of people, then that prejudice may very well transfer to the child. I’m thinking Hannibal – perhaps not your typical example, but as his father was Carthage’s top general and absolutely hated Rome (and was not afraid to let everyone know the fact, especially his family), that transferred to Hannibal. Another example perhaps closer to home is @mnvalentine’s example of Draco (though my knowledge of him is limited, so forgive me). His parents are high class, pureblood, and look down on those below them, and this transfers to their son. Children are imitators. And when those closest to them–their parents–act in harmful ways, they may do the same. Of course, it’s lovely when the child doesn’t (and perhaps instead learns to stick up for people, for example), but sometimes bullying is all he knows how to do.

My worst problem with bullies in books is when they have no motive — i.e. just punching/taunting the MC for no reason because viola! conflict, but it seems you’ll definitely avoid that since you’re asking for motives. So kuddos to you for that 😀

@seekjustice WOAH. I’m so scared. I’m so scared. My word, reading Manly with Chessy was so heartbreaking :'( And Zachary and Justice being cousins gives this a different dynamic. I’m so scared. AHHHHHHHH

@seekjustice I finished it. AHHH I just LOVE how you tied Les Mis and AToTC together! That is So. Cool! But all the sadness. *cries* So soon. It’s too much o_o Until there’s more, of course!

Also *shakes finger* Poor @rochellaine *hands you some tissues*

XD Chessy and Justice, I didn’t really think they should get together at the end of Stars Fill Infinity, but I’m fair game for this book. Usually whatever the author does, I go with. Usually 😉 Although I kind of like these two together, especially after we found more out about him 😀

@seekjustice Oo, cool! I haven’t met many people who want to visit here! What book did you read about it? There are a ton of mountains. Many old buildings and churches. And it’s beautiful country. Though, the unbeautiful thing about it is it’s kind of been in a rut since Communism fell; it hasn’t improved as much as it should have (roads, medical care, etc). But it’s a pity, because it is a beautiful place 😀

Ooo! That sounds intriguing! How far have you gotten?

I have to go now, but perhaps will be on soon again. 🙂 If not, happy writing! *tosses you some ice cream*

@seekjustice Yes, we’re missionaries to Romania, but we’re also from here (at least my parents are; I was born and raised in the U.S.).

Okay! What are you working on? I’m going to have to go soon, though I have a pitiful word count, but I got some stable ideas down for a funny poem 😛

@seekjustice Yep, that’s me. So far I don’t know of any other kapeefers from around here, but that’s okay 😀 Are you still writing?

@seekjustice Hi! I’m here! I’m not exactly sure how much time I have (might get called to breakfast any time now), but I need to get some writing done.
