@Ethryndal Dat must be it.
@Sierra-R Hey, it’s okay, I adore that music too. Even if it’s associated with some silly lines. Not all their lines were sappy anyway…they got crazier as it went, but they weren’t all bad.
The Hobbit movies still have TONS of awesome stuff in them, even if they have a fair amount of unawesome stuff. Trust me, I…[Read more]

@Sierra-R But now whenever something hurts so much, you can say why does it, and your sibling can reply Because it was real! and you can have a good laugh. (Or groan.) 😀 That makes stubbing toes a lot funner.
At least Thranduil was well-acted, though he had some stupid things to say.
Something else that makes me groan is the Aragorn…[Read more] -

@Sierra-R *sits and silently judges you*
XD jk.I think I probably would have liked Tauriel and Kili better if the romance had not progressed so ridiculously fast and gone from ‘I hate you because you’re an elf and who doesn’t hate elves’ to ‘Do you think she could have loved me?’ in the span of half a movie… and ugh, yes. Thranduil just took…[Read more]

@sierra-r I got 45, probably because I really don’t do novel writing, and because I have very little time to write for fun 🙂

@Sierra-R I’m not familiar with the Phantom of the Opera one, but as for the Hobbit one— *gag* Please. Don’t even get me started. 😛 The number one problem with it was that it was basically a crush that got treated like real love to the exclusion of a love that had been growing for centuries. Now Legolas in that movie had some SERIOUS…[Read more]

@emma-flournoy @sarah-h @rolena-hatfield @sierra-r @kate-flournoy @jess Thank you all for praying! If you could just keep it up a little longer, it would be much appreciated. I think it’s so amazing that people here pray for each other even though they’ve never actually met in person. It makes you think about how big God really is, that He can…[Read more]

@audrey-caylin I suppose I’ll jump on this real quick. First of all, the main reason why you see articles around the same subject coming out at one time is because every year monthly themes are crafted and articles published in that month are written with the correlating topic, and I believe December’s theme is Religion and Spirituality. :)…[Read more]

@dragon-snapper Thank you for the helpful questions.
@sierra-r & @kate-flournoy & @emma-flournoy Don’t stress. Children stories are hard. (And yes, there is a deadline, but not till Feb.)

@sierra-r That is hilarious! In a really strange sort of way… Ah, true friends. The things they will do for each other. 🙂
@anne-swiftblade Ok, one sword is bad enough, but TWO? This world is so unfair… 🙂

I’ve been studying up on theme. Especially in movies. So I was wondering if you could give: Two movies that have, in your opinion, extremely powerful themes. If you could also give why those movies have such great themes or how they made the theme awesome then that would be even better.
Now I’m not talking about themes like “Peace is better than…[Read more]

I’ve been studying up on theme. Especially in movies. So I was wondering if you could give: Two movies that have, in your opinion, extremely powerful themes.
Now I’m not talking about powerful themes like “Peace is better than war because true peace isn’t tainted by man.” That’s a decent enough theme. Great even. But it isn’t necessarily powerful…[Read more]

I read the Eragon series a few years ago, and I liked them. I liked most of the characters, although many were stereotypical.

The Snalgli? *shudders* Ugh. I’d tried to forget those, @Sierra-R. Thanks a lot. 😛
Great points about Paolini’s weak worldview. I agree. Which is really sad, because a strong theme could really have made that series several LAYERS of more awesomeness. I basically had to look to the supporting characters for applicable life-lessons, and even…[Read more]
