@seekjustice Haha, like I told you before, I’m quite timid of meeting you in real life. 😮 You really have a sabre from Babylon, right?
Ariel, if you’re reading this, please realize I’m joking. I’m not afraid of SeekJustice at all, and we’re just having fun. There, does that help?
SeekJustice, I’m going to depart now for a while. I’ll pro…[Read more]

@seekjustice Oh, thank you. 😛 Yes, the first author that came to the top of my head was Jane Austen, but I know you detest her works, so that’s not a very good recommendation of an author who doesn’t kill characters, is it? 😀
I see. I have mild asthma too, and used to cough for months after getting a cold. I took a spoonful of raw honey ev…[Read more]

@seekjustice Oh, yes. I see that was a useless argument. But you see, I’m desperate. I’m so ashamed of myself for killing a character that I can’t think straight enough to find any good arguments.
If only it had been a good death scene, with an important character who caused great mourning when he died, and who the readers would weep over – li…[Read more]

@seekjustice *hangs head* I-I’m sorry!! I honestly don’t know how it was possible that I forgot about him. But…he needed to die, and I think letting him die was the nicest thing I could have done for him. If he had lived he would have been the subject of great persecution, according to my understanding of the situation. And, he was in his…[Read more]

People of Kingdom Pen, I have a confession to make. I have just realized that I have led you to believe something false. I don’t understand quite how it happened, but I am glad I found it out and am able to rectify my mistake…
Now before I freak you out any more, 😛 don’t worry. It’s just that I just realized I have actually killed a ch…[Read more]

@seekjustice @rochellaine @alia I’m so sorry, I should’ve explained that I had just come to answers Rochellaine’s question last night; I wasn’t writing at the time. Sorry!
I’ll be on today at some point though.

I’ve got a character who wanted to be a musician, actually, but circumstances prevented that from happening. So she’d rather be a musician.
Would your character rather be forced to die, or to live forever inside a computer simulation?

@seekjustice Wow, that’s very pretty! And yes, it looks pretty accurate. The belt could be worn a little lower, but it’s fine where it is. I can’t see the hemline, so I can’t tell about that, but the top looks great. I’d also need to know what year or years specifically if I were to check the hemline, as you can see from the chart I showed Val…[Read more]

@valtmy Wow, that was very interesting. Thanks for introducing me to it!
@ariel-ashira It would seem so. Probably not the best idea…for me at least. 😛 @seekjustice of course won’t be going to bed for several more hours, and I think it’s daytime where Valtmy lives too, isn’t it?

@rochellaine @seekjustice @valtmy You guys still up? Â My Dad and I found a place to stop for the night. Â We are in Wyoming. Â I have been reading your posts, but not saying much because it takes an ice age to type on tablets. Â Goodnight!

@seekjustice Do you mean the movie or the musical? I haven’t seen either, but I’ve seen clips of the movie. I can’t find pictures of the costumes worn in the musical, and if it’s in the movie I’m not sure what dress you’re talking about. Do you have a picture?

@seekjustice Haha, yes, Gibson Girl fashion is a bit extreme. I much prefer the more sensible WWI era fashion. However, I do enjoy the Gibson Girl cartoons when I can find them. They’re very amusing.
Oh, that collage is sweet. 🙂
@valtmy No, no. I do not like the modern trend of YA fiction where the teenager saves the world just because he…[Read more]

An Australian based fantasy makes me think of Ned Kelly for some reason. Maybe you can write about him and his band of outlaws in a fantasy setting. 😂
Yes the hanboks are so pretty. I can do research and stare at the pictures all day…Â ☺️

@seekjustice What do you think of the pre-WWI Gibson Girl fashions? Ah, the Olympics are very interesting. And they were very different from what they are now!!
@valtmy There aren’t many monarchs that interest me greatly for some reason. I’m very fond of Lady Jane Grey and her cousin Edward, but other than that I usually prefer the people wh…[Read more]

All my story ideas tend to be fantasy/historical pieces set in Asian cultures. My WIP is based on Korea, another project is on China and I have a story idea that is based on the nomadic sea tribes in Southeast Asia. I want to come up with one for Japan too since I am prolific watcher of anime but I guess I’ll have to see how it…[Read more]

@valtmy I meant what is considered the modern period of history, from about the 1600s to the present. I don’t like ancient history much, and don’t know much about the middle ages so I was wondering what was your favorite period out of the section of history I study the most.
My favorite period is from about 1912-1970. 😀 But I have a few o…[Read more]

Haha that’s how I do things as well. For my WIP, the setting is based of historical Korea but considering the tone of my story I guess I can get away with some inaccuracies. But this time I have done research and found pictures of the clothes (called hanboks) that my characters wear in the story.
Um… what do you mean…[Read more]

@seekjustice Standards for modesty depended a lot on the time of day and the place or event. Ball gowns have always been less modest than everyday clothing. So has swimwear. Women didn’t swim with men during that period, but if you go forward fifty years to the 1890s-1900s, which I know more about, you see that walking dresses covered up to th…[Read more]
