@seekjustice Ooohhh O_0
XD I forgot Australia was a different time than me when I first read this and I was like ‘Wow’
Warning: Morbidness ahead, proceed with caution
So:
Probably lethal injections of drugs would be a common one. It’s humane, can be pretty much painless (if you can call being executed painless), and very effective. Potassium…[Read more]

Sam Kowal replied to the topic Irrational or Rational? in the forum General Writing Discussions 6 years, 10 months ago
@inkling-for-christ 😀 That’s a cool idea.
I would say, definitely, fangirls can be dreamers, but being a fanperson doesn’t necessarily make you a dreamer. @daeus kind of already said that. Dreamers can be all kinds of people, people who believe in things no one else does, who see hope where others don’t, who aspire to things others don’t. They…[Read more]

@princessfoo XD I agree 😀
I once thought about writing something with people who could control electrons in small amount and thus have power over the form of matter itself, but I haven’t gone any further with that

@kate-flournoy XD I guess you know you are a writer when you think about such things, too

Sam Kowal replied to the topic You know you are a writer when… in the forum General Writing Discussions 6 years, 10 months ago
@kate-flournoy 😀 XD XD Actually, me too. I come up with the craziest ideas, and there is so much to think about. I actually really irked my younger brother by telling him that what you see isn’t really everything around you, its actually just a picture of everything around you that is being built directly in your eyes… which is why some people…[Read more]

@jane-maree 😀 XD Okay. It’s set in the Kingdom Pen universe world right now, actually, like Legend of King Daeus and What Stan and I Did on Christmas….
I haven’t read the Rithmatist, yet, but I’m panting and drooling to. (I promise I’m not a dog though. I think.) One of my friends has a copy and is reading it… so I’m waiting for them to…[Read more]

Sam Kowal replied to the topic Which Idea Should I Tackle Next? in the forum Novel Idea Critiques 6 years, 10 months ago
@jenwriter17 🙂 That idea actually sounds really exciting right off, but I feel like I have seen it a lot before in various places… at least bits and pieces of it. The futuristic and evil government is a pretty heavily used element in a lot of sci-fi/dystopian. So is the Rebellion/Uprising of the people. That’s not to say it couldn’t work, with…[Read more]

@jane-maree 😀 Really? That’s cool. I didn’t know that, at all. So I’m guessing my story about replicating and selling people’s voices would fit into sci-fi, too? ;D *gaze lights up*
The ending! It was… really, really impressive and awesome. I think it almost turned ME into an Epic.
I’m hoping Skyward is kind of a thematic sequel to Reckoners,…[Read more]

I may or may not have just stalked this entire thread *cough*
XD These things are face-splittingly funny 😀 😛 😛
@daeus that thing you said a long time ago about the light… that’s an idea that’s always fascinated me. Several scientists have actually theorized that we really do actually all see color differently, because of difference in our…[Read more]

@dragon-snapper @catwing @dekreel You know you are a writer when…
You go back and read this entire thread, because you desperately want to know what other writers are like
You are laughing and being amused the entire time because you know what almost all of those things are like

Sam Kowal replied to the topic I'm back!! in the forum Start HERE 6 years, 10 months ago
@clairec 😀 That’s cool. I like reading historical fiction… but I’ve never actually written it. Which, actually, doesn’t make sense, because I read a lot of history. I just like writing fantasy.

Sam Kowal replied to the topic I'm back!! in the forum Start HERE 6 years, 10 months ago
@clairec Hi :D, and welcome to the bestistest—- oh wait, you already know that XD
I’m new on here, too. At least, when you were on here last, I wasn’t here.
I’m a fantasy writer, and I have a dragon sidekick named Stan. 😀
What kind of things do you like to write?

Sam Kowal replied to the topic HAHA! I DID IT AGAIN! in the forum General Writing Discussions 6 years, 10 months ago
@catwing Of course, only ones that are unfortunately…already passed on.
I know. Stan loves science, though. He doesn’t even care about the more squeamish aspects. (Being a dragon and all, ya know.) He wants to be a dragon biologist, part time, when he’s not being the most fearsome dragon in the world.
XD Well, I was going to break the news to…[Read more]

@dragon-snapper XD Wow. That is SO funny. Like, ‘so’ does not even cut it. GAAH XD XD
*starts laughing maniacally*
How have I not found this thread? It’s a crime of Fate that I haven’t been here
You know you’re a writer when you start outlining your next story on the margins of the book you’re supposed to be working on for school.

Sam Kowal replied to the topic HAHA! I DID IT AGAIN! in the forum General Writing Discussions 6 years, 10 months ago
@catwing I suppose… for those indisposed towards that sort of thing… a suitable model, made of plastic or rubber, may be used. They did need to look at something to make the original model, though….
XD 😀 😀 I didn’t tell Stan about the class. Even though technically, he’s the one teaching it

@photobloggergal 😀 Nice to have you back here
Stan the dragon has been wanting his photo taken, but I keep telling him that that’s… not really possible over the internet
I wanted to tell you, too, @emily and @shannon are taking a hiatus from Kingdom Pen for awhile, because I saw that you had come back. So don’t be alarmed if you can’t find…[Read more]

Sam Kowal replied to the topic How do we define "worth" when there is no actual God figure in the story? in the forum Mission, Calling & Ethics 6 years, 10 months ago
@livgiordano This can be tough. It’s quite possible, though. The book of Esther in the Bible actually never mentions God by name, at all, in the entire book. But it’s still in the bible. So in way, its very similar to what you might be trying to do.
This thread might help you…[Read more]

@livgiordano 😀 Pure Starlight sounds really intriguing. Nice use of ‘Caelum’ to represent a kingdom in the heavens or the skies, by the way. Do you use Latin words often?
I love fantasy, too :D! All of my writing projects right now are fantasy, and it’s my favorite genre. Always nice to have another fantasy fan on here. And yeah, fantasy is…[Read more]

@supermonkey42 Light, electricity, and magnetism is a cool idea. 😀
@warrioroftherealm There’s also things like basing your elements on the real periodic table, which would make things a lot more limited. ( Power over, say, gold alone would create some really interesting circumstances for someone to use that power, versus power over all earth…[Read more]
