      @gabbyj @ingridrd I used Copic markers (alcohol based markers), which magically make everything look better! And to outline, I used a Uni Pin 03, my favorite waterproof pen ever! 🙂

          @ingridrd I’d like to draw James, if you don’t mind. 😉

            @skredder I liked your description, so I wanted to try drawing Dagny, too! She was fun 🙂

            Funny how we both chose green for  her dress! Also, you did her hair really well! I couldn’t quite figure out how to add the red in.

              @kaya-young Back in December I read, To Kill a Mockingbird, for the first time, and I really really enjoyed it. It was one of my favorites of the entire year. I don’t know why I didn’t read it sooner! 🙂

              I also read, Book of a Thousand Days by Shannon Hale. It’s a Grimm’s fairytale re-telling, and it was surprisingly good! Shannon Hale is a great story teller.

              I just looked up Dawn of Wonder, and it sounds really interesting. It’s also free on kindle, which makes me happy! 😉

                  Hey,@catwing!

                  I’ve been blogging for almost a year, so I don’t have all that much experience, but I thought I’d throw my two cents in anyway. 🙂

                  I usually blog about books, nature, and the occasional random thought. I tried, and was semi successful, at posting once a week, which was relatively easy to keep up with, but lately I’ve slacked off quite a bit. I try not to worry about it, and only post when I feel inspired to write about something, and not just post for the sake of having ‘content’.  I think posting once a week, or even every other week is a good plan, and maybe later when you have a rhythm going you can post more frequently.

                  I hope that helps a little!

                    @jenwriter17 haha! Then I guess I’m not alone! I use a lot of reference ‘diagrams’ (I’m not quite sure what to call them) from pinterest, which have helped me a lot.

                    @notawriter
                    I love your style! It actually reminds me a bit of the art style that’s used in anime, rather than manga.

                      @jenwriter17 I really like manga style, but I don’t draw in it much, though my style now is somewhat inspired by manga/anime. But when I do try it, they usually come out looking… scary. haha!

                        @itisastarrynight Mystery solved! 😉 They do take a little getting used to, but totally worth it when you do!

                        Btw, loved your drawing, what did you use? Looks like watercolor?

                          Hey, @itisastarrynight !

                          I used Copic markers! (They make blending super easy.) I layered them to deepen some areas, avoiding the areas I wanted to be lighter, and then used a white Jelly Roll pen for the highlights (like, her hair).

                          I’d definitely recommend Copic’s if you’ve never tried them! 🙂
