Oh. Right. We were posting at the same time. 🙂 That’s neat that it can mimic other birds. Here we have mockingbirds that can do that, but they don’t look nearly so spectacular.

@bluejay That’s beautiful! It’s a lyrebird, right? That tail is amazing. Thanks for posting the picture!

@bluejay Yay, we’re on at the same time! 🙂 It’s nearly midnight here. Wow, you live near a rainforest?! What is it like? Are the animals different? I look forward to watching your movie! I’m sure seeing it will help me to understand a lot more. Some things are hard to explain with words.

@ClaireC I agree that it would mean more to us Americans if you included the poem at the end. But then, if your intended audience is Australian, I suppose it doesn’t matter.

@bluejay I know, it would be so much more fun in person. Oh well, maybe one day. 🙂
Haha, we would complement each other well. I deal with the snakes, you kill the spiders. I’ve always thought snakes were cool, but the snakes I’m used to are harmless, so maybe that’s why. It’s funny, I used to be fine with spiders too (I used to catch them for…[Read more] -

Okay, here we are @bluejay @ClaireC.
I confess I do not know what quokkas or goanna are. You have the coolest animals over there. What kind of seals do you have? I never thought of seals being around Australia, I don’t know why. Have either of you been to the Great Barrier Reef? I want to go there one day; it sounds amazing. @bluejay It’s too…[Read more] -

@Bluejay Oh well, that’s okay. Busy days happen. 🙂 I’m looking forward to our next one. It’s fun reading the Bible and knowing that someone halfway around the world is doing it too. 🙂

@bluejay I know, the ending with Jeff was terrible. Have you read his other two series, the Young Underground and the Promise of Zion? They are really good too, although Promise of Zion has a similar tragic ending. I found the Billabong series! I can’t wait to read it; thank you for suggesting it. 🙂 And…speaking of snakes…I have a really dumb…[Read more]

@bluejay Me too! I’m a little confused by the time change, so I’ll do it today, and if today was the wrong day I’ll do it tomorrow, too. 🙂

@bluejay — The only series I’ve read set in Australia is Adventures Down Under by Robert Elmer. Have you read them? They’re set in the 1800s. I want to read more Australian books; your homeland is so intriguing.
