It’s the last one they’re doing, and I’ve heard (though I can’t track down the rumour far enough to know for sure whether it’s true) that every submission gets feedback this time.
If you are, tell us about your…[Read more]

Sci-Fi Research Part 1
So the first thing I did was research what science fiction actually is. I looked for a whole bunch of definitions. Many went something like “science fiction is a genre that deals with futuristic science and technology” or “it’s merely a setting.” Personally, I found the “dealing with technology” definition to be quite…[Read more]

Mark Kamibaya started the topic My Take on Cliches in the forum 7 years, 6 months ago
I noticed that the KP Community really loves cliches. Like really.
I stumbled upon a really interesting conclusion about the whole idea of cliches, and it totally changed how I look at them. I published my findings in an article. Click here to read it. The KP Community indirectly inspired the whole article, so it’d be really cool if some of you…[Read more]

@rolena-hatfield Mostly movie soundtracks and music by people like Audiomachine. Epic soundtracks are my main writing songs.
Once, when I was on a horse for the first time, it bucked. And I thought that felt like flying. 😛
@emily-D Don’t worry. I like Newsboys too. Especially the song Save Your Life. I really like a variety of music, though I…[Read more] -

Hi! @rolena-hatfield Yes I have have been playing piano for 4-ish years. My favourite classical piece is Moonlight Sonata by Beethoven. As for modern music: I am a huge Newsboys fan (Ssh! Don’t tell Holly, she is sick of the Newsboys after playing their music straight for a millennia *rolls eyes*) Love their song Restart, Disaster, and I’m…[Read more]

@rolena-hatfield Yes, I play violin 😀 No, I don’t think my favourite genre is classical, but I do like it 😉 I’m not sure I have a favourite genre, I just know what I like to play.
And hopefully in the near future I’ll actually do something with my YouTube channel and upload recording/videos of me playing, like I’ve been wanting to for a while -…[Read more] -

I know that this topic has been made a million times, but I was wondering, because I really don’t read blogs, but what do people write about on blogs? If at all I were to consider writing one, what would I write about?

Hi! @rolena-hatfield Yes I love quads! I have a 90 (way off, Hols! lol) It’s adorable. It fits on the back of my best friend’s dad’s Toyota Hilux (in other words, it’s tiny!) Yes, I love going fast. I like to go full speed. Though on my bike that’s probably only about 35 kilometres per hour. Sorry Rolena that this is all very Australian lol.…[Read more]

@rolena-hatfield I wasn’t going to say anything because everyone’s already said it, but I just realized I DO have something to add. Like everyone else, I like personal stuff, BUT if the personal stuff isn’t interesting, they’ve lost me. I hate it when people’s blogs are basically just the long version of a grandmother’s facebook post. There has to…[Read more]

Hey Emily! ( @emily-d ) Well besides this one :p (KP is my favorite!) Most of my favorite sites (usually blogs by authors) were mentioned in my blog thread on the forum 🙂 My favorite right now is Nadine Brandes http://nadinebrandes.com/ She has some wonderful thoughts for writers and really has a mindset to minister to everyone she comes in…[Read more]

This is an invitation link to a discord group. This group is exclusive to people from KP. Please don’t invite anyone who isn’t in Kp. This weekend I saw a girl who I’m certain is a writer, though I never talked to her (I’m trying to get contact information for someone who might know her, so I can ask for her contact information in a slightly less creepy way than otherwise, but that’s another story), and she reminded me how much of my writing life I spent alone.
I started…[Read more]

@Rolena-Hatfield I like a variety of stuff—I wouldn’t like it all to be only on one subject. Not even writing. 😉 I love the philosophical musings sort a ton; the occasional story; and OF COURSE the bloggers whose blogs are personal.
