I hope you have better days soon. You’re in my prayers. Congratulations on the job offer! That’s wonderful! 😀 I keep feeling it’s kind of weird that we’re all grown up now… 😛 do you?
I’m doing great. Settling in well to married life. 🙂 It has been strange living so far away from my family now, but they visit pretty often, and being able to plan and organize my own place is really fun.
Ah, adult life is way more complicated than when we were kids, isn’t it? 🙁 I hope it all smooths out soon. I’ll be praying for you.
Me too. I have been wanting to get back into writing, but just couldn’t figure out what to write for the longest time. And I totally get the “book getting more complicated than what you originally planned” thing. 😛 So troublesome, right? I hope you are able to figure it out, because what I’ve read of your book was very entertaining and I’d love to read more.
Haha, yes. 😀 I’m doing great. Figuring out the new lifestyle, and all that. It’s been a big change, but definitely a nice one. 🙂
I’m so happy for you! Also, that book cover is a wondrous thing to behold. 😀 I love it.
I’ve been doing really well. Of course, missing you all. It’s so nice to talk to you again! My writing has not been doing well. All I’ve written in the last few months is probably a couple of sentences on my WIP and a country song… (Yeah…that was unexpected… 😛 ) I’ve been frustrated with how slowly my writing’s been going, but gigantic life changes are kind of distracting. 😉 Now that I’m pretty well settled into my new life I think writing can start up again. Are you working on your sequel? I’ll be up for some word wars soon!

Wow, this is from a little while ago. 😛 Thanks! I’m glad you like it.
I agree, Kipling’s poems are very good. Now I should go back and read some, since I haven’t read any of his works in a while. 😉 My favorite poet of the droll variety is probably A.A. Milne, though. What do you think of his stuff?
Thank you! I’m glad you enjoyed it. 🙂
Sadly, my old computer died recently, along with several of my poems which it contained. 🙁 Thankfully I had a bunch saved elsewhere as well, (including this one, obviously,) but I’ll just need to write more to make up for the ones that were lost…

Hey there! How’s everyone doing? It’s been a little while. 🙂
Is anyone around?
"Sylvester - Sylvester!"
😛 I have no idea…
Sounds interesting. I’ll have to look it up.

That’s thirteen hours past my EST, so we’re pretty much exact opposites as far as day and night. 😛
I remember it was entertaining. 🙂
Well, it was inspired by last month’s KP newsletter picture prompt, but it got too long and I couldn’t shorten it enough to fit their max words requirement, so I didn’t send it in, but I decided to finish it anyway, because I liked it. 😉 It still needs some editing, though.

Wonderful! Yeah, it’s been a while, hasn’t it? What time zone are you in, actually? I keep forgetting. 😉
QOD is the one I’ve read bits of, is it not? I can’t remember the title from the initials.
I’m not writing anything at present, actually, just here to chat. 😛 (I’m actually crocheting a baby blanket for my sister-in-law’s baby shower on Sunday) I did write a short story last week that I’d be interested on getting your thoughts on if you have a chance sometime. 🙂

I’m back now. Are you still here? Or are we going to keep missing each other all evening? 😛

Thanks for the suggestions. 🙂 I’ll definitely look into them.
Yeah, it always seemed weird to me too, and very long. But when I found the musical I was surprised at how well it made sense. I think they must have condensed and changed it quite a bit to fit it into a musical. If you find time to listen to it sometime, I’m sure you’d enjoy it.
I’ll be signing off now. Talk to you later!

My little sister really loves horses. (We have three, for which she and my older sister are the main caretakers) I’ll have to look those books up and see if I can get her some.
I can’t remember if I ever mentioned it to you before, but I keep thinking of it and then forgetting whenever we chat…have you heard of the musical Man of La Mancha? I think that’s one you would really enjoy. The songs are amazing, (In my opinion, of course, 😉 ) and the story, which is based on the classic, Don Quixote has several similar elements to other stories you like. (Have you read Don Quixote?)

We had a table at a homeschool conference once, and the vendors next to us were the people who had made the movie. So we heard/watched it on repeat for the entire weekend. 😛 That was much better than the 2 minute breadmaking video that was at the vendor across from us a different time! 😀
Haha, well, I kind of was, but I didn’t have many. I read the standards: Misty of Chincoteague, The Black Stallion and Black Beauty. And there was one more that I really loved. It was called A Pony Called Lightning or something like that. I don’t know who it was by, and I haven’t thought of the story in years, but I think it was about a wild pony on the western plains.
Now I’m thinking that Misty and Lightning are probably solely American books. 😛 Were there any specifically Australian horse books that you read?

We do have the picture book based on the Veggie Tales Joshua. That was entertaining. Speaking of Joshua interpretations, have you seen the Jericho LEGO stop motion movie? It’s hilarious. 😀
Thanks! I’ll send you a link to the google doc in a bit.
I don’t know that I have a favorite time period to write. I’ve written in a few different time periods. I really like the early 1900s, (especially the slang and the clothing styles) and I used to be a big fan of the Civil War, but my current WIP is set at the time of the book of Acts. So, yeah, major differences there! 😛 Do you have a favorite time period to write, or read?
