RJK

  • Hi friends,

I’m excited to announce that on October 2nd KP will hosting a panel discussion dedicated to the topic of speculative fiction!

Yes, fantasy, sci-fi, the stuff we love. I hope you’ll be there. 😀 😀 😀

    Here’s the link.…[Read more]

  • Hey all!

It is my pleasure to introduce you all to the new Kingdom Pen site–now faster /and/ mobile-friendly. 😀

As you may notice, it looks quite different. And while I think I’ve caught all the bugs, there may still be some that have evaded my eagle-eye. So if you find something, drop us a note here or email us at kingdompenmag@gmail.com.…[Read more]

@RJK Great. Yeah, my sister told me Sleep Hollow is actually something of a comedy. 😀 It does sound horrifying.

  • Haha! Thanks for clarifying. @rjk

@rjk Thanks! It’s a fairly long story which involves my oldest brother, Daeus, being born in Japan (yes, it’s true.) @daeus, do we grow raspberries?

  • Emma Flournoy replied to the topic Hello! in the forum Start HERE 7 years, 5 months ago

@RJK Glad to hear so. 😀 *gives you more chocolate* To resume the original conversation—which Irving books have you read?

@Northerner Your ENFP sister is practical? Wow. Well good for her! XD
I think a lot of sister pairs must be like this.

  • A few of you may recall me tossing around this question some weeks ago, but here I am again, and I’ve decided to start a thread for it to get as much input as I can.

    Should I start a blog?

I’ve prayed about this, a lot. And I’ve tried to convince that I’m really not the best person to do this kind of thing, but…well, I think God’s got other…[Read more]

@rjk Yes, Pinterest is invaluable for all forms of creative endeavors. I use photos I find there as references for my sketches/paintings all the time too! I’ve never tried oils but I love looking at the paintings you can make with them.

@RJK I apologize most profusely for this takeover. *wince* I try not to let it happen too often, I do… Have some chocolate as recompense. Assuming you like it. Most on here do. 😀 *chocolate*

Now, now, you two…no need to take over @rjk‘s introductory post with your sisterly squabbling… @kate-flournoy @emma-flournoy

  • Emma Flournoy replied to the topic Hello! in the forum Start HERE 7 years, 5 months ago

@RJK I actually haven’t read any of Irving’s stuff, though I’ve heard of him. He’s the one who wrote The Legend of Sleepy Hollow isn’t he? I want to read that sometime. 😀

😀 Yup, @Kate-Flournoy is indeed the one. The sister just above me in age…she’s 18 and I’m 16. She says I’m biased about her book, being her sister and all, but I remain…[Read more]

@Rjk YES I LOVE TO MASH GENRES. XD (also I’m Australian, hence I sometimes take a while to reply to things because timezones. >.<) Mashing genres is soooo much fun.

  • Snapper replied to the topic Hello! in the forum Start HERE 7 years, 5 months ago

@rjk It would be an honor to be of service. *bows*
And just so you know, I too am a dragon (though you might have noticed that) and I have a knack for melting phones and chairs.

  • Elizabeth replied to the topic Hello! in the forum Start HERE 7 years, 5 months ago

Ha, ask away! @rjk Love talking MBTI or books or story ideas or whatever.

    Hm, I don’t think I’ve ever read that book…

  • Emma Flournoy replied to the topic Hello! in the forum Start HERE 7 years, 5 months ago

@RJK Les Miserables is my favorite book. (Favorite published one. 😉 My sister Kate’s WIP is close second.) IT’S INCREDIBLE. It’s extremely long—and no you should not read an abridged version—but it’s absolutely worth the time. I recommend it with the highest of recommendations. 😀 If you’re the kind of reader who likes Dickens and other…[Read more]

@RJK yeah… KP is just about swamped with INFPs. 😛 Tied for close second is INTJ, actually, and surprisingly most are women. INTJ women are supposed to be practically nonexistent. 😛

… how much of an MBTI nut are you? Because I’m pretty far gone… but I don’t wanna overwhelm you with random psychology dumps. XD

  • Elizabeth replied to the topic Hello! in the forum Start HERE 7 years, 5 months ago

Yes! @rjk INFPs for the win! I can relate to what you said– I’m an INFP or an INTP, depending on the day…

*grins* I LOVE love love Dancing on the Head of a Pen. It’s one of my favorite books. Ever.

  • Kate Flournoy replied to the topic Hello! in the forum Start HERE 7 years, 5 months ago

@RJK hey! I’m an INFP too! Though I’m afraid no one in their right mind would ever mistake me for a Judger. XD

Let’s see, forum etiquette. *dons official ‘Director of Happiness’ robes* The only hard and fast rule is don’t tag more than ten people in one post, and then only relevant ones. Otherwise, general rules of Christian love. Not complicated. 😉

  • Kina Lamb replied to the topic Hello! in the forum Start HERE 7 years, 5 months ago

@RJK Welcome!!! Because this is what I do when I introduce myself on here…

    I’m Daeus’s (little) sister.
    I like to write, obviously.
I like ice cream and raspberries too. (Daeus can’t be the only one.) Oh, and blueberries.
I like to memorize scripture (see the Scripture Memorization thread if you can find it.)

What are your favorite books?…[Read more]
