@bluejay Have you ever tried writing poetry from a vocabulary list? I had to once, and it was more fun than I thought. Here’s the result:
A Tale From Two Views
View One: The Tragic End To A Shrimp
A shrimp was lodged upon a ship
Which bombed the rival airstrip
He heard the bullets bang and zip
As bombers turned the gay flagship
Into a blazing…[Read more] -

It worked!!! *cheers* *remembers state of website* *hides*
Oh, and in all of that I lost my profile pic, so I replaced it with our late pet cockatiel Elisa. She’s the youngest of our little flock of five.

@bluejay Okay, I’m stumped, so I’m going to fall back to my last, very embarrassing resort. My brother and I played around with starting a Creation Science website, but then we realized we didn’t have enough information to make a good website. So we used it as a “launching pad” to get his pictures on to KP. So (if it works) this is a picture of…[Read more]

@bluejay @claireC @anna-brie How are you all doing? Has it been harder/ easier than you thought? Are you glad you’re doing it? I’m not sure what I was expecting, but so far it hasn’t been hard at all, although there have been a few moments of temptation. I’m glad I’m doing it. Especially since we just moved, so my 2 1/2 hour routine has been…[Read more]

@hannah-c It looks good to me. Short and sweet, like Brianna said. I don’t think you’re missing anything. 🙂

@ClaireC I would read it because I like war fiction, especially WWII fiction, and I like Australia. If this is your actual book synopsis, you might want to focus more on Evelyn’s character arc, like Josiah said. But if this is just your basic story idea, I like it. 🙂

@bluejay I think I’m gonna stick it through ’til October, but you guys have fun! Sounds like it might be the Hobbit, which I can’t read anyway. Enjoy your new Club Manager position! 🙂

Thanks, @Jess , I got some work done on the beginning of my story. I think I’ve mostly figured out … things.
Good for you! NANOWRIMO is not for the faint of heart. (Which is why I have yet to participate) 😉
Those were good cookies … 🙁 Definitely keeping an eye on the cats. The other eye needs sleep. 🙂

That’s great, @jess .
What’s wrong with cats? Oh, nothing … unless there are three of them prowling around the house, pacing the kitchen counters, (so that I have to get up every five minutes to shoo them off) crying for absolutely no reason at all, and guarding your chair in a hungry sort of way.
Just don’t leave a bag of chocolate chip…[Read more]
