The rune over Gabriel’s eye on his mask does have strange sight properties, so that works!
Something told me he has magical intuition :]
Lucille
The man spoke. Lucy’s heart dropped. The voice belonged to a stranger.
For a long time, she didn’t say anything, even though the man’s voice was urgent. Fury temporarily warmed her body. Her h…[Read more]

Man, I am really not communicating today. I forgot to say Barnes is magically transformed by the labyrinth. She is now a child. Her age is magically reversed, so she’s maybe nine or ten?
We can say Gabriel can see through the magic for an instant and realize it’s Barnes; not to mention she’s wearing the same jacket.
Thank you for savin…[Read more]

Also good to have you back!
Okay, let’s see. We’re gonna do that fun thing where the character switches their name
Lucille
The girl stood tangled within the wall. Small and sleepy, one side of her ached to curl up in the leaves and let them whisper tendrils of mist into her body for as long as she lived. She could be another lifeless par…[Read more]

No problem at all, all of those things are fine. Also my characters change all the time, seems to be a product of roleplaying and testing things out.
Aw, the special little Sebster Gangster

Just realized I should explain what I’m doing in the roleplay. I mentioned it to Loops and forgot to say it here! The labyrinth is in the process of transforming Barnes in a specific way. If Gabriel passes by where she was swallowed by the labyrinth, I’m sure it will spit her back out and they can reunite.

I’m here! I finally put aside my project and here we are
Barnes
Since the hour before, after the deal with the imp, Barnes had lost her way again.
The longer she walked, the worse the vines became. They crept around her ankles and stockings, sometimes scratching her with thorns. Circling back to the silver clearing was literally…[Read more]

@rae lol yep, it is! At least that’s the closest genre I can think of to refer to it by.
and yeah, story genres are very confusing and have lots and lots of overlap.

@rae honestly I agree.
make it work for writing and galleries too, so I can arrange those however I want (for example, if I was making a comic and wanted the pages to be in order)

@rae Actually, Star Wars is a fantasy. Just set in space. The line between fantasy and science fiction is very, very blurred.
I like your original ideas for Guardian Angels better. But if you really want it to be fantasy-type and there be no sci-fi whatsoever, go ahead and do that, it’s your story.
Also, you really don’t need to have philo…[Read more]

Nice to see a post from you!
The genre was sci-fi, but I’m thinking of swapping genres to fantasy.
Hmmm.
I like it when people give me opinionated answers, so that’s what I’ll do here. I don’t think you should change it to fantasy unless you really, really want to. You’ve only brought up two (maybe three?) reasons to change it, and they’…[Read more]

Why don’t you just mix them. Take what you like from fantasy and take what you like from Sci-fi and do a sci-fi fantasy. You could even set it in a sci-fi type world, yet have fantasy creatures, (like the Slyiads, which I personally like as the villians because they really do seem to fit the bill.) It does feel like it needs to be sci-fi,…[Read more]

Yes, some sci-fi stories don’t explore these ideas, but I don’t find those enjoyable at all personally to read.
Oof. I see how it is. (Just kidding lol)
In my mind, there isn’t really much of a difference between fantasy and sci-fi, but I get why you’re struggling to decide between them.
The one suggestion I can think of right now is to…[Read more]

lgbtq people gravitate towards art because I know many of them are mentally unstable, and suffer from depression and other things,

Yeah.
I think many lgbtq people gravitate towards art because I know many of them are mentally unstable, and suffer from depression and other things, and as I think we all know, art is an outlit for that.
True
I’m currently experiencing a boom in my art. Just today I’ve done multiple sketches and linework, which is highly unusual for me, but…

@rae Glad things are going okay.
I think you’ve done pretty good. Like you said, you’re probably better off just doing what you’re currently doing rather than yapping all over the site.
