  • If you haven’t read the Baron Chronicles and don’t want a huge spoiler, please don’t read.

So, for those who have read the Baron Chronicles, quick recap. Baron is an assassin who turns away from being an assassin to, originally, find some kind of good in the world to do, feeling beyond forgiveness. Obviously, he does end up getting saved.

    But…[Read more]

I really should have replied earlier, I’m sorry. I should be available now for a while if you’re having a night owl night, because I have a debate due this Wednesday and am not prepared really at all. Our resolution is “is Civil Disobedience in a democracy morally correct?” And um…I find it to be their attempt to make us learn…[Read more]

  • Been a while since I posted on here, but I would like a little feedback for this little creation in Canva from 3 in the morning (I really need help sleeping.)

Obviously, this won’t be the actual cover (you kidding, I still have a little ways to go before that), this is just me having fun.

Woah, that was not the numbers I was expecting.
So, I have the money I guess (the sad thing is it looks like I’ve had enough for months and didn’t know it).
    Thank you so much!
About illustrations, I’ll probably do those myself to save on money and capture my vision.
For an editor, I know that I need one of those lol so I’ll get into that.

well, i think the time of stepping back will actually help you refine it, so maybe it’s a good thing! We have a few editors working for us, or if you know of someone else, feel free to chose them as well. Here are our editors, but don’t feel…[Read more]

(though the wild one is more Baron-sih to my mind. XD)

Same. Don’t worry, he will keep his ruffled, unruly hair for most of the book. This drawing was supposed to be from his time with Jenna.

It does kinda hover in the area where you know who it is, but it doesn’t exactly look like him because of the hair XD

    Thank you!

    Gabriel Mai

Gabriel reached up into his hair, untying the red ribbon holding on his mask. He set his mask down on a wardrobe by the bed, sighing. He glanced at Lucy, making sure she slept.

He took off his bag of plundered items, setting the hatchet on the floor, pulling out the scraps of leather, twine, and needle from the bag.…[Read more]

    Gabriel Mai

Gabriel caught her, holding her carefully. He couldn’t smell any fresh blood, nor see any. He felt her arms gently, searching for any heat radiating through the bandages, any sign of infection. Finding none, he shifted her so her head rested on his shoulder, picking up her hatchet and few other fallen knickknacks…[Read more]

Idk, what else to write, sorry 🙁

  • @whalekeeper

    Gabriel Mai

As he walked on, Gabriel was internally debating if it was safe for Lucy to have a hatchet or not. When she was carrying his knife, she was careful, but that was briefly. Now she was toting a dangerous little blade with her like a trinket. As they passed through the rooms, Gabriel took some leather and a sewing kit he…[Read more]

none of him home monsters look humanoid, so he might not have a kill reaction, but you bet they will be getting death glares at least. He might be a little protective of Lucy…

  • @whalekeeper

I’m good with anything that happens as long as Lucy stays with Gabriel. She’d be none too happy if they got separated

Gabriel feels the same, though he might have a more violent reaction than her if they got separated. Violent of the “kill everything” type.

  • @loopylin

Not that your characters would know this, but, just clarifying, the labyrinth doesn’t have an owner. It’s sort of sentient on its own, kinda, and more like a force of nature than anything else.

Yep! I know, but Gabriel most definitely would assume there’s a person behind this, not a bunch of crazy night owl writers lol…[Read more]

    Okay, glad you’re alright.

    Also, I like the poem

    The Protector — Gabriel Mai

As Lucy read the poem, the voices grew louder, hissing their jargon in his mind. He wanted to shout at them to stop, but kept his voice silent, not wishing to disturb Lucy.

“That’s alright, thank you. You read much better than I.” Gabriel tried to keep h…[Read more]

The reply button had to go to bed apparently.
My doc is currently sitting at 97 pages. I do plan to go through and edit though, since I’ve found some week spots, and also need to clean things up, but it’d be around 100 pages.
I’m sorry if that’s too vague for you, that’s the best I can give until I go through again (I stepped back…[Read more]

No, you haven’t given me a price quote, but from what I’ve seen online, it can take up to $2000 to $4000 to publish. I was planning on saving $2000 but I only have $700 right now. Maybe a little more after winter because I do get snow money and I have a few relatives who always send Christmas money because they live too far away to see us, but at…[Read more]

I was very confuzzled when they said that. I personally won’t be adding it to my vocabulary but I found it interesting.

I still plan to go with Wild Horse Publishing, if you’ll still have me, however the current thing holding me back is money. I do not have enough saved, and I don’t have a job yet due to health issues.
As soon as I get a job…[Read more]
