@princessfoo That’s great that you have a temporary name until you can come up with a more permanent one! What made you choose Ralph, as opposed to any other male name?
@daughteroftheking Thank you! The B&tB retelling is my favorite one at the moment. I don’t have a particular favorite kind of music, but I like classical, Lindsey Stirling and…[Read more]

True, that’s the main reason I wanted to keep Haylie who’s PoV I write from, though after I wrote a little of Macx’s I found I liked it more than Haylie’s. I do think that it would still be losing some of what would be there if I did Macx’s PoV instead of Haylie’s though, so I’ll just try to do as much of Haylie’s as I can to try…[Read more]

@ashlyvye I was recently talking about POVs with my fellow writer friend (Hi, @princessfoo ! *waves*) and something she pointed out about multiple POVs is that one is often more interesting than the other. So, the question is, is Macx’s POV more interesting to readers than Haylie’s? Will they wish you would switch back to Haylie’s more often, or…[Read more]

*appears out of nowhere*
Greetings, Kapeefers! I’m going to peak my head out of my hiatus for a second to ask some questions:
In my children’s books, I have a school bully, and lately I have been considering giving him a bigger part of my books. So my questions are: What are the motives of a bully? What are the literary cliches of a bully? And…[Read more]

They definitely sound like books I would pick up at the library because I’m intrigued by the title. Do you have a favorite kind of music?

@princessfoo Those ideas sound amazing! I especially love the idea of how magic works in that first one! I don’t usually have a cost for my magic…but I should. After all, as the Dark One says, “All magic comes at a price!”
I feel the same way about names for the Beast! In my first retelling, I named him Tasmarin Jennings and called him Arin for…[Read more]

@sleepwalkingmk @rochellaine @seekjustice @alia
@princessfoo @kaya- young @ingridrd @dekreel @dragon- snapper
What do you think of the titles “The Last Tomorrow” and ” Where the Vultures Gather”? Â They ate two titles I thought of for some present day stories I want to write.
( Dont take those ideas!) 🙂

SleepwalkingMK replied to the topic Book Titles! in the forum General Writing Discussions 6 years, 8 months ago
@princessfoo Ah, cool. And longer titles often tell you some of the plot, or something about a character better than a shorter one, which tends to be more abstract. I like the title The Key to Everywhere and I don’t think it reminds one too much of The Girl from Everywhere, though I haven’t read it. To me, The Key to Everywhere doesn’t sound ve…[Read more]
