@jenwriter17 I’m doing housework right now, and that’s why my replies are sometimes far between. 😉
Sorry to hear about the cough, but glad it’s only temporary. 😀
My poison ivy is not getting any better, and I still can barely use my left hand. 🙁 (especially bad since I’m left-handed. 😛 ) But I learned something cool because of it. I took a…[Read more]

@jenwriter17 Oh, too bad. Bye!
@seekjustice @valtmy @catwing @dekreel Is anyone else around?

@jenwriter17 I’m still here, in and out. 😉
That’s strange. Would you like me to try re-inviting you and see if that works?
I’d much rather have comments on the document so I don’t lose them in the mires of the forums, 😛 but if it ends up you can’t comment at all I’d love to hear your thoughts anyway, so in that case commenting here would be fine.

@jenwriter17 I think I sent it to you. Hope you get it all right. 😉
I’m here, sort of. I’ll be off and on for a bit. How’s it going?

You know you’re a writer when you find yourself fixing the grammar on some lyric slides in ProPresenter.

@seekjustice @jenwriter17 @valtmy @catwing Hey people! The first section of Daughter of Judas is ready for comments!! If anyone wants to read it, let me know and I’ll send you an invite to the document. 😀
Warning: I do not write anywhere near as fast as SeekJustice or a lot of the people on here, so the progress is slow. The part you’ll be re…[Read more]

@valtmy Thanks! I’ll have a look in a bit.
Hm, I thought I gave you some comments here on the forums. Did I not? I guess you still want more detailed comments in the document? Okay, I’ll be on a long car ride today, so I should be able to reread it and actually comment this time.
Thanks for reminding me. I often forget about something unl…[Read more]

@seekjustice That’s why I think the 50s or 60s would be the best times to travel back and live in. They’re far enough forward that we’d have sufficient enough technology so the culture shock wouldn;t be too great, and just at the right crossing point where women were free to do most things, but were still expected to act like ladies and the…[Read more]

Definitely 🙂 It was really fun to read!
I used to think that I was old-fashioned too, because I have rather “backward” ideas, especially for a woman living nowadays. But I think if I went back in time to live I wouldn’t be any less frustrated. 😛

@seekjustice Sounds great! I’ll have to see if I can get the chance to read it.
I haven’t read any of Amy Carmichael’s books in a while, but I absolutely loved Mimosa!
Well, I think if I read it now I might have a different impression than I had when I was younger. 😉
Haha! 😀 I? Old fashioned? Why on earth would you say that? 😛 But yea…[Read more]

It is good! Especially if you want to learn more about Australia.
No, I haven’t read any of her books, but I have Elisabeth Elliot’s book about her and I’ve read a bit of her poetry.
I thought you might say something like that. I’m very much against modern feminism but I never found Betty to be particularly feminist, though she…[Read more]

@seekjustice I haven’t been doing a whole lot of reading lately, and haven’t read many of the newest ones we have gotten, but I do believe I’ve seen that one among the collection. You say it’s good?
Ah, that’s sort of how I feel about Amy Carmichael. Have you read any of her books?
It has been forever since I read it, and my eleven-year-old p…[Read more]

Have you got the one on John Flynn? I read that one only recently, though I’ve got other biographies on him.
I have the Elisabeth Elliot book, but I much prefer reading her books, so I never bought Jim Elliot.
Why did you dislike Betty? I like Mary Slessor too. I haven’t read Lilian Trasher, but she sounds interesting. I remember…[Read more]

@seekjustice We get the two or three new ones each year, keeping our collection up to date. However, I believe there were a couple we deliberately didn’t buy because we already had multiple biographies of the person.
Yes, I’ve read those. 🙂 Actually, I think Betty Green was my least favorite of the women biographies. 😛 A few of the ones I li…[Read more]

I think I might have had them all at one time, but I haven’t bought any new ones in a while and they’ve published quite a few more.
How can I choose just one though? Probably my favourite is “Betty Greene” but I also love “Nate Saint” and “Rachel Saint” and “Jacob Deshazer”. I assume you’ve read those ones?

@seekjustice So do we. I think we have almost the entire collection, actually. That and Henty’s books form the largest sets of books in our library. Which YWAM book is your favorite?

SeekJustice replied to the topic Writers' Corner #19 in the forum General Writing Discussions 8 years, 1 month ago
I have a rather large collection of them 😛

@seekjustice Nice. Those books are great.
@valtmy I did grant you access to the document, but I don’t see you there. I hope you got it. 😉
